they would be useable but for some reason the file that it exports is completly locked down. I can't add any detail to it to fix anything :/

edit: well I may be able to use the maya files now, I tried something stupid and well it worked, now to spend an hour making sure the nif file has everything it needs.

edit2: no help, the file is still a format that the game can't understand.

edit3: ok so I got maya to export a format the game understands, But for some reason it dosn't like the way I bound the skin so that part dosn't work.

Major Congrats! I've been stopping in to this thread daily to watch the progress. I would love to see some screenshots so I can send them down to the artists.

Nice work!

Thank you, I finnaly decided to try something new today. instead of trying to make the B unit look like the nif file from the engine, why not make it look like a tender. Well that was the problem :)

I'm just doing clean up now, and adding a few things before I give I make a release :)

ok so here is the release. The only thing not working is the B unit will not change textures so its not gonna change from the design you see in the screenshot. Not sure I can change this as I'm not sure where the link is made to do that. Also animations are not in atm. They will wait till later today I think. (I have another idea for this).

once I get animations working I plan on adding to the diesel list first. The Current plan is the GP7, E- Series, SD60, GE U34CH, and GE AC6000CW. After that I will start working on Steam Trains. Also I plan to add more train cars, I'm gonna start with a group of passenger cars that match the F and E series.

also the train is only avaible on two maps that I have included(just copies of current maps) they have the addition of (new train)

Hey, can you do a nice little switcher like an SW1 or SW15 or such? Be great for short runs to a supplier and back to town!

I could give ya a whole list of cool deisels. I'm sorry i wasn't around for the 60's just because it was the decade with the most variety to see on the rails.

well the current plan is SW1, GP7, E- Series, SD60, GE U34CH, and GE AC6000CW. This seems to be a good list of Locos, that has a good year change, and either a good jump in HP or in just use.

U34CH is a pretty rare locomotive. Only like 10 were ever built for commuter service. The most popular model of that era's GE product line was the U30C which looked alittle different with less flared radiators. C30-7 came out 10 years later in 1977 and admittedly the U33, U34, U36 and C30-7 look VERY similar <only by getting out the nit-pickers guide can you really tell the difference>. And you are forgetting one of the most popular Deisel locomotives ever, the SD40-2.

the reason I left out the SD40 is I was trying to put a engine every 5-10 years, although if enough people want a certain engine, I will add them.
