St. Lawrence River

Post by slider38 » Wed Aug 17, 2022 2:17 pm

Hi Folks, I have a new map started - St. Lawrence River. I have been working on the first engine - a Planet. The first Canadian engines were shipped from England. I have tried everything that I can think of to try and get rid of this bluish color to no avail. I finally gave up and just colored the tender to match. Oh well. It works. This is the maps first engine - the Champlain and St Lawrence Planet number 31.

The longer I looked at that Planet, the less I liked that ugly color, so, I threw it out. Instead, this map will start with the Champlain and St Lawrence 2-2-2 number 12.

The second engine will be the St Lawrence and Atlantic 0-6-0 number 249.

A few more things to build and then I will start transferring things to the actual map and start re-testing. More work ahead.

I have finally gotten everything transferred to the actual St. Lawrence River map and tested again. Now the real work starts. Time to start testing for game play and get the goals established. Things move a little slower this time of year. I am getting to the golf course as often as the weather permits. As the chill sets in, I expect things will pick up speed. Guess I better get to it.

I have finished my initial testing. That always leads to a lot of changes - goals adjusted, industries moved and added, etc. etc. I have finished work on the actual map. I am going to give it one more run-through. Assuming that goes well, I just have the event files to build. I am working on it. :D
