Smr Simple!

How do I use the engines from basin and ridge with other addon maps or even the ones that come with the game? I tried pasting the engines from the ..RRT trains... (basin) to the RRT Trains(america). The engines appeared but the game crashes when it attemts to add rolling stock to the train. Is there somewhere else that I also need to copy and paste?
