first:
- i've created pine-trees with a snow layer, addapted the texture
it's pretty ok, but what not so nice i think, is that there is a little bit to much shadow? projected on 1 side...
it would be nice to have no black effect on it (or maybe even better) a blue shine on it...
have a look at the screenshot...

someone an idea to do this (as simple as possible explained, i'm not a crack at photoshop, but can follow some simple things, i guess)

(maybe this tree would look better with a better system???)

i created 4 snow pines,
now within the the terrain editor i am planting those pines, one per one,
is it possible to use the terrain-editor like with normal trees, where you can plant multiple pines at once???

i'm using photoshop cs2...
(but this shadow is by default so dark, isn't it?)

Another test i did:

My first Zoo Tycoon 2 animal in Railroads

here's the example: an ostrich (there are plenty of animals)
(another animal i tested resulted in a pink (polar bear))
i must admit, the nif-file etc... i copied into the custom-assets really included alot of files,
those zoo animals do have alot of animations, behaviopur etc, so it's surely not a good stripped version,
but it works and looks nicd!?

Does someone knows how you can move a decoration (in a kind of animation)
fe the wolf has an run action, but i think this will result in a wolf running at the same spot so not really running from left to right etc)
we do have an example of karsten where the bear had an action,
i will need to have a closer look at this, how to connect the action with the bear, wolf
is it also possible to have a chain of actions??? fe crying-wolf and afterwards another action???

ps: there's already some post here, i will be testing that right now...
i'll keep you informed...

If you look in some of the FPK files in Assets in SMR, you'll find some other animals. I came across a chicken and a rooster.

Naw, I'm on the second floor and we don't let chickens and roosters fly in the US.

Industries, hen_diff.dds, rooster_diff.dds and tuna_fish.dds.

Found them while I was seperating the industries into seperate folders.

yes, but seperating them from the industries, the chicken model or pigs etc ... is one step too far for me... i guess :(
but yes there are pigs (when they get loaded that can walk)

2 wolfs doing 2 different actions???

OK, i can let my wolf cry and fidget
BUT
i can't have 2 wolfs doing 2 different things,
i've already tried alot:
- having 2 references to a wolf with their locations spedified in each
but then the wolfs will just do 1 actionlist, one reference will be readed and used... so ending up with 2 wolfs doing exactly the same
- i've also created a copy of all those woolf files and renamed them to Oolf but then my oolf is next to the woolf but this one doesn't do any action, i had the same action-code as the woolf to start with in my xml...
someone?
it's pretty stupid having 2 wolfs on the map doing exactly the same action at the same time...

the only thing i can think of is to have a wolf next to a bear but you will not see so much just one wolf alone, most of the time they are in a group, and surely you will never see a group of wolfs doing a synchronised wolf-dance....

Does civilization IV use the same type of animation files as SMRR? Would it be possible to import buildings from Civ IV into SMRR?

I'm sure it does. After all most of the programs we use, were made for Civ.

Gforce - to seperate them I use DragonUnPACKer5 which is freeware. You can do a search for it on the web.
