The installer can add new difficulties. If you send over the files I will write up an installer and post it someplace for you to download...

Interesting thought...I'm going to try it right now. That would be great to help with the installer...thanks. I'm working on the models and icons this weekend.

Thanks karsten...guess I missed that the game needed four.

EDIT//Well...I tried a double entry for each of the two towns I wanted as Start locations. It didn't work. I did have two other towns that can be used as start locations so now I have four and they do work...thanks again karsten. ...and... it was worth the try Mike thanks.

It seems that a couple industries have slipped off my list for the player to build. I have more than twelve. Is there a way to list the Build Industries in some order? I've looked through the Industries and goods lists and can't seem to see how the game makes the list order.

Here's a pic of the Southern passenger train on the Florida Gold 20X20 size map...

Sorry Lowell, no one has yet to figure out how the game decides that. You'll likely have to experiment with it.

::Sigh:: yup...I've been rebuilding the industries inside all the lists, just in case it is one of those things where it depends on the most recent added or something. The distrabution centers bumped a couple others off my list I want there...the distrabution centers can drop off I don't want those to show. I know if I remove them from the "in-city" list of industries they will drop off. I'll just have to keep messing with it till it changes.

Have you tried puting a number from one to twelve in front of the industries' names?

...nope...interesting idea. I'm going to try it.

EDIT// I could pull a couple of the industries out of the cities...but then I can't monitor the cars delivered for an objective. My thought was to look at the Interface files and find the browser that holds the Build Icons and make it longer...or...better still, get the interface to use the "smaller" icons and make the "white" button area smaller...hence more icons would fit in the space provided.

One problem with numbering the Industries..... there would be 12 new Industries in GLOBALS........

Gforce was working on something to this effect. can't remember where that is in the forum. He had several posts as to what he had found out.

FOUND IT!!! http://hookedforums.com/a/viewtopic.php ... light=pile

True...but you don't have the... AeroSpace Parts center, offshore oil tanker/rig, Shrimp, Titanium, Orange Juice, Keylime Pies, Key West Cuise Lines...(makes people and mail,) Treasure Hunters, Titusville/Cape Canaveral Aerospace Center, Southern Railway Distribution Centers, ...in your list :D

That link was perfect...I found what I needed to know how to keep in and kick out things from the build list. I also was in the middle of making the bottom "browser" for the build list...longer so it could show more industries. I found in the game proper where the templates are for the in-game menu browsers.

This second way I can bump off things I don't "want" the player to build and place only the ones I want to show. Hope this works, this means I will have to rename all with certian letters in front of them, but oh well...if it works. Going to give it a try tonight...Thanks Snoopy again for that link...that post needs to be in the wiki. I'll be back later and post my findings...I will most likely start on this right now...this has been holding me back from completing this thing.

As Moderator, I give you the job of doing just that*. Edit it, make sure it works as you say, give credit where credit is due, and post it. :D

It works !!! Now I know how to run build list. I will write out what I did then post it. I have been fiddling around with that sorry list for weeks.

Now I can finish the Oil Tanker. If anyone would like to help with the nif files for the tanker that would be great. I'm just a few models off from being done. This has turned out to be more work than the Darwinia mod I did called The_Particles_Within.

EDIT//Gforce figured it out some time back...his post just got lost in the pile. It is credit to him we have the fix.

Just like he says... they show up in the order of

1-3-5-7-9-11
2-4-6-8-10-12

By adding stars **** in front of each of the industries names I did not want to show...it pushed them far off down the list. All I had to edit was the global industries & map industries, then any entrys I had in my Scenario goals...and done it works.

<RRTIndustry>
<szName>*****Titusville/Cape Canaveral Aerospace Center</szName>

<RRTIndustry>
<szName>***xz Southern Railway Distribution Center</szName>

...a couple needed letters as well...

...'Whew'...for a minute there I was thinking I couldn't have the 31 Industries I have. :shock:
I did say it was a big map & scenario... :D ...don't worry they all don't get used at once... :lol:

I seem to have found a problem with the game. Everytime I save a game then return it strips away any Decorations I have made. At first I thought it might be something I did...till I uninstalled the game saving all my stuff first, then played a default map that came with the game...the river rapids was erased the same way. If you save during play and keep playing it's fine...save then leave the game then return and all decorations have been removed...I found this on many maps. Is there some fix I have missed? I have several decorations that I need to stay on the map...

You may have to transform it to a industry with no in or out-put and no green area. Its likely some hard coded feature, or it could be that they forgot to code a decoration's location into the save file.

Are you telling it to save decorations in the map editor? Cause I noticed that industries, cities, and decorations all have their own little tickboxes in the save entities page, which is separate from the main save map....

...yup...way past that. It seems that the game isn't writing a Decorations.xml file. Again...in my previous post I had said I uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it. In the US Southwest map comes with the game and has the river rapids in one of the rivers...It too right out of the box did not save the river rapids decoration when I had saved and rentered the map.

Warll...I guess that is the only fix for them right now. I will try making them industries as you have noted.

Can someone else test this just to make sure it isn't something I have created?
