ARRRGGGGH Red Hemisphere of Death!!!

Post by McDuck » Thu Apr 30, 2009 6:40 pm

I have been working on adding a decoration for a month. So far, the best I can do is get the dread red hemisphere when I place the decoration, which is much preferable to the many crashes that preceeded it.

On BKBobby's site he posts that, if you get the red circle adding a decoration, it means that the KFM file is missing or defective. But why do I need a KFM file when my decoration is just a building with no animations? It shows up and saves fine in NifSkope, and none of the non-animated decorations have KFM files for me to copy and alter.

Here's the NifScope screen: http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/vi ... neybin.jpg

I've been trying to learn this myself but I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Nice building....Scroogeville?

Upload your RRT_Decorations XMl and the files used for this building. Also, where do you have the files located?

From what I've read on the forums, it usally means the file cannot be found by the program. Another possible reason could be a spelling mistake, that has happened in other maps.

As snoopy55 has said many times, check, then check again.

You not need a KFM File for non animated model, just need nif file and put it in CustomAssets Folder
