Possible terrain Editor bug????

Post by Choo-Choo » Sun Mar 25, 2007 4:01 am

Upon finding some terrain issues in my map tnks to k-class, there seems to be something well...Fishy!

Seems for some reason when u make a spot of land for fisheries in water or near/attached to land if you place the industry then add trees around it in a vicinity then hit the fix world button it raises the terrain thru the roof.
Seemed as long as i made a piece of land placed the fishery w/o any trees nearby it would set the land according on its own and work fine.

might be a bug or maybe im just tired lol not sure. Anyone else experience this at all while making a map?

The Fishery has a number of bugs

The one you speak of blocks rivers if the fishery goes there.

If you run a map like Germany Deluxe repeatedly, the Fisherys are always in the same place, even tho they are random placement.

Again looking at Germany Deluxe, they Fisherys NEVER are on the ocean, only rivers. Other maps have that same problem.

New England will not take Fisherys, and 1/3rd of the map is ocean.

The Fishery also makes a kind of horseshoe shape land form around it.

Kinda sounds like we need 2 new Fisherys, one for Oceans and one for rivers. :?:
I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....
