hi Baron_Trevor
Do you have some ideas on which the scenario could be based? :idea:

It needs to be based on the manchester-liverpool connection and also WW1 and 2 for armour

would like the map to be a 225x225 too as the one included with the game is way too small (not good when cities are touching)

I dunno though anyone else have any ideas?

Great, I was thinking exactly of that connection. Does anyone know how to get the DEM files these days? :?

Why not bring Scotland into the map?

Then you could develope the west coast line and the east coast line.

I was planning on looking into it, if Firaxis release a map/senario editor thats easy enough for me to use.

At the moment, I am going in the opposite direction, since Liverpool Manchester is such a short distance, I thought I would zoom in totally. But lets see how it works out, I have the DEM file for the area and a scenario sketched out.
I would be happy to collaborate on a Scotland map later, currently I am testing version 1.2 of my Scrooge scenario and it eats up a HUGE amount of time! :shock:

Hi Baron_Trevor, are you still there?

The Manchester Liverpool scenario is almost ready for beta-testing. Highlights:

* More prototypical bridges (screenshot)
* WW1 and 2 for arms
* BIG map

Should be ready in two or three days. Any additional suggestions most welcome, will be incorporated if feasible.

Cheers, Karsten :P

I'm working on a UK map, its based on the built-in UK scenario terrain enlarged to 15x15 (max size), with twice the number of cities, added industries, and alterations to the resource/demand mix (e.g. villages accept fish and supply mail/passengers). I'm trying to balance it so that getting valuable routes isn't too easy.

I have both a single-player scenario (with the emphasis on East-West expansion) and a multiplayer map (become sole railway) in mind.

I've attached a working version of my "UKLargeMP" map for you to try out, if you like.

It works for me (and I think plays reasonably well), but I can't guarantee no crashes etc...

Key features:
- 15x15 map size (based on Firaxis' original UK scenario)
- supply and demand fiddled with
- 23 new cities, including my home town (= Felixstowe)
- Industries less conveniently placed, and somewhat more realistically sited for the UK (e.g. Lowestoft fisheries, Nottingham textiles)
- mountainous areas smoothed out a bit (got rid of the hills in East Anglia!)
- London has terminii (Paddington, Waterloo etc.) - not sure about this, feedback welcomed.
- I'm also working on a single-player version, UKEast2West, 1918-1980 - but the eras/goals are a bit mad, currently.

Great map! :D One thing I found odd tho, now I know you English love fish, but all the 'Villages', I guess they are, have a demand for fish, but no cannery. Was this supposed to be this way?

You might also want to move this to Maps since it works fine. That's where we really let you know what it's all about. :twisted:
I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....
