Hi Folks, I have started work on a new map - Tennessee Trains. I am really just getting started building and painting the pieces that I need - industries, train cars, etc. I have gotten the first engine ready and tested - the Alabama and Tennessee River GP9 number 2012.

The next map that I plan to use in this map is the Amtrak F40PH number 276.

Just finished this engine - the Tennessee, Alabama & Georgia GP38 number 84. This was the first train that I think I have done that has the bell on the rear of the hood, and horns front and back.

Hi Folks, For the next engine I am using on this map, I pulled one out of the archives, the Illinois Central Gulf GP40 number 3007.

I have spent the last few days constructing the Gibson Guitar Factory which will be an industry on this map.

The next engine for this map will be the Southern SD40-2 number 3253. This was an interesting project. The kfm that I was working from had no bell layer, yet the engine carries a bell on the back of the hood. In order to get the bell to sound I had to mess with the nif file to get a bell layer inserted and the had to take a GP38-2 kfm file and change a number of the kf files to use the six-wheels of the SD engine. An interesting project.

The last engine intended for use with this map is the St. Louis Southwestern (Cotton Belt) GP60 number 9631.

I have a lot of map work to get done. Once the map is in reasonable shape, I will begin transferring stuff from my practice map to the actual map and start re-testing. Sometimes progress comes a little slowly. So it goes.

I intended this last engine to be a GP60. However, what I created instead was a GP60M which has a completely different front end. I have spent the last couple of days fixing this issue and now have a GP60 which was what I needed. The SSW GP60 now looks like this:

I have moved all material from my practice map to the actual Tennessee Trains map and re-tested everything. I have some map work to do and then I will begin testing for play.

Sorry that progress on this map has been so slow. Two reasons - 1. It's golf season and 2. I am struggling to get a balance on this map. Through testing, I have found that the Amtrak engine really serves no purpose. My original idea for it was not going to work. It has been removed.

Right now I am testing a couple of new starting locations to see if that will resolve my balance issues. We'll see. I am working on the map. It has just been slow going. Now - back to work.
