Arizona Rails
Arizona Rails
Hi Folks. After getting The Great Northwest out of production, I have started on a new map - Arizona Rails. I am
bringing an engine out of retirement for this one - the ATSF F3A and F3B number 31C.

Re: Arizona Rails
Another engine for this map - the Arizona Central GP7 number 403.
Re: Arizona Rails
This is the Arizona Eastern Railway E8-A 6070.
Re: Arizona Rails
Another engine ready to go - the ATSF GP9 number 2276.
Re: Arizona Rails
The next engine for this map will be The Apache Railway C420 number 82.
Re: Arizona Rails
This engine started life as a SD40-2. I think that the only parts that haven't been changed or removed or replaced are the trucks. I've been working on this for a couple of weeks. When I found this while doing some research for this map, I thought it had some interesting lines. This is the ATSF F45 5941.
Re: Arizona Rails
I have had several past maps where I could have used an Air Base. This one too so I finally put something together. This is the result:
Re: Arizona Rails
Another engine ready for action - the Arizona and California SD40-2 number 4002.
Re: Arizona Rails
Here is an old friend and his brother - the BNSF GP60M numbers 100 and 105.
Re: Arizona Rails
Last engine for this map - the Union Pacific AC44CW number 7238.
I have a lot of map work to do so I'd better get to it.Re: Arizona Rails
I have been fooling with a covered bridge for a while and I think I have done about all I can. I am using it in this map as the engines are all diesels. If I try running it with a steam engine, there is nothing I can do to prevent the smoke from pouring through the roof of the bridge. The game was definitely not created with something like this in mind.
Re: Arizona Rails
Hi Folks, I just wanted to let you know that I am still working on this map. Everything has been tested twice and I am currently trying to strike a good balance between starting locations. Sometimes that's easy and sometimes it's not. I have been running the map for a couple of weeks. I think I am getting closer, but I'm not there yet. Once I get the balance to a point that I'm satisfied with, I still have a bunch of map work to do and, finally, I will do the event files. This one is just taking a little more time than most. So it goes.
