France Alternate Universe

As everybody knows, there are alternate Universes with alternate histories floating around. This world is but one of those.
I have just located one of those worlds and happy to show you a small part of that world that was revealed to me:
There has been a tremendous upheaval and explosion. All the volcanoes in Iceland and the Italian peninsula simultaneously blew up, fracturing and scattering the earth crust. Fortunately Paris has remained in the same spot, but parts of France were thrown all over the drained Atlantic and Mediterranean basins.
Your assignment is connect these cities and restore the French empire to its previous glory.
Unfortunately the British Islands completely disappeared.

The reason behind the creation of this map is that in the past couple of month, since I installed Windows 7, the custom maps were always crashing including the new maps that I am working on, but the stock Firaxis scenarios did not crash. So I took a stock map, changed the geography pushed the cities around and it looks like it helped.


This is variation of the stock France Map. There are no FPK files, or SAM-s or CIC-s to worry about.
You have to unzip the file into the UserMaps folder and can start to play.

I have posted an other variation of the same map. This is primary to demonstrate, that with a little effort one can make a series of entertaining scenarios. All I did was to move the cities around and it becomes a completely different challenge.
Since this has the same filenames, it will be advisable to have only one of them in the UserMaps folder.

I tested the Alternate Reality of France and the map runs perfectly to completion (see attachment). Nice and straightforward, not the rock-hard challenges we are used to from Jancsika - so it probably can be finished in an hour or two by newcomers as well, which is welcome.

Amazing how SMR manages to translate the scenario goals into perfect German - I assume this works only for scenarios based on the stock Firaxis scenarios.

I also noticed that the volcano blowups in Iceland and Italy apparently managed to recreate the Grand Canyon of Arizona in Europe. Good for the tourism industry!

Don't need one.
This is basically a stock map, there are no FPK files, but you can handle it as a SAM.
Makes no difference.
