Texas Area Map

Here is a new map of Texas and surrounding areas. It is a 15x15 map, so you will need more than the minimum computer requirements. There are several challenging goals, so you will have to get to work right away making money and working toward the goals. See how many you can meet. This map is not for beginners.
There are no mods, so the map should install fairly easily. Unzip everything to the CustomAssetes folder.
EDIT - updated industries to exclude unused ones. Shows as version 1.1

You better have more then min before you even think of running just about any user made map.

I have more than the min and after the loading screen (after I choose the scenario) it just CTD. I can run the Utah thing OK...
But he AZ and Texarkana just crash.
I have
2.40 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64
2 GB ram
2 - NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT in SLI
etc.

You have to get a Village or Town to a City or Metropolis

Cool map and very doable. Not that I know how to do it, but... it would have been nice if you had changed the industries you could purchase. E.G. building a car plant in San Angelo would really be perfect to grow it out by moving steel there. You can buy an arms factory, but no place to ship the arms...

drsnooker - thanks for the input. Try replacing the "RRT_Industries_TexArkana.xml" file with the one in this zip file and you should now only have appropriate industries show up when you try to build one. File goes in the "...\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\UserMaps\TexArkana" folder.

Cool map
Nearly didn't make the end as the "stock food supplies in San Angelo" as I forgot I had to get that Village to a Town and then to City and then onto a Metropolis . (I think was a city to get the food) That one needed some closer resources. As I had to have about 3 to 4 trains dropping off mail to get it to grow in a hurry.
Also had to run a few tracks through this village which made my track layout look messy.
I think that was a learning thing or didn't realise how significant that San Angelo was as one of the scenarios.
Getting the gold delivered was the easiest.
Also fish just used two trains that moved goods to city next door (forgot name) perhaps spread that out a bit.

Hello,
Forgot to add you have TenderCars in the RRT_TrainCars_TexArkana.xml file. (remove <RRTTenderCars>to</RRTTenderCars> Stops the tender mod from working)
Just heads up to people if you customise the RRT_Trains_TexArkana.xml file with dual trains etc you need to remove the above TenderCars entry.

K-class:
Can you explain this further. I am not really sure what the problem is. I have read through posts where some people use the tender cars mod and others say it can cause problems. I really don't know the details of the issue.

The Tender Mod is fine by itself and is not the issue. The problem comes in if you have a <RRTTenderCars> section in your RRT_TrainCars_<scenarioname>.xml file. This seems to keep dual locos from working. So it is advised to remove the whole <RRTTenderCars>to</RRTTenderCars> section in any RRT_TrainCars_<scenarioname>.xml you have to avoid problems.
