So I don't need SMRI to run the Holiday Map at all?

When I uninstall SMRI the UserMaps folder is no longer there...

Right! :D I should have added a few steps in between:
  • Uninstall SMRI
  • Uninstall SMR
  • Delete leftover copies of SMR in MyGames
  • Install SMR and two patches
  • Add a UserMaps folder in MyGames/Sid Meier's Railroads at the location indicated by the red circle.
  • Go!

I followed your direction step by step and I STILL do not see the Map in the Single Player maps or anything... I pasted the file AND the FPK file into UserMaps (made sure it was cap U and cap M) and still nothing...

I am running an US version... is that whats messing me up?

I tried to upload some Screen Shots but it told me BMP files not allowed, made then into JPG's and it said BMP (or BPM whatever) file was expected but JPG found so it wouldn't let me load... I can E-Mail the shots to you if you want them, it was showing I was putting them in the correct spots

:? Mmm... hold on, Holidays_In_Ohio-ToyTrains v2.0 is CIC, there is no .fpk file, must be some confusion. Perhaps you can try again with those screenshots. :P

I tried doing the Chicago one in the begining of the Snoopy SAM's... so that does have an FPK file...

TheOddOne - did you read the sticky "How to install SAMs......" at the top of Mods - Maps? that should answer your questions.......It covers SAMs and CICs

Try this....go into My Games and delete any folder that has Sid Meier's Railroads! as the name or as part of the name. Go out and start the game. When it comes to the part where it wants you to select a map, exit it. Download the map you want to use, unzip it into a folder that uses it's name somewhere on your computer. Close the zip. Go to that folder and, in another window, the UserMaps folder in the newly created Sid Meier's Railroads! in My Games. Copy the Map folder, not the folder containing the map, into the UserMaps folder.

(somewhere on your computer)
.......Holidays In Ohio Toy Trains Storage (folder)
................Holidays_in_Ohio-ToyTrains (the unzipped folder)

My Games (folder)
...........Sid Meier's Railroads! (folder)
.....................UserMaps (folder)
.............................Holidays_in_Ohio-ToyTrains (folder)

Start the game and when the maps come up, go to the left. It should be there. If you cannot find it Do the same thing, exactly, with a smaller SAM, Mill Valley, zip the Sid Meier's Railroads! folder and post it here. One of us will look at it.

I am running XP Prof 32bit

I tried as you said Snoopy and thus far nothing still, here is the file you asked for and I used Win-Rar, 7-ZIP was not allowed... thank you guys (or gals, not 100% sure) for all the help you are giving me.

Works for me...the map is between Germany and Island Hopping. It looks like Hill Valley Rush.

Now, if you want to load another map, you have to go into UserMaps and delete anything in there, then put the new map in there.

Also, some of the Zips contain 7z files, which have the maps in them. This was done to make the uploads smaller. You might want to burn the unzipped folders you make to CD or DVD, or even the Zip files.

Questions....can you play one of the original maps, with no SAM or CIC installed? (With a SAM or a CIC installed, you cannot play any other maps, even the originals)

Have you found "Hill Valley Mess", and how far into the loading does it get?
