dogsbody42 - you shouldn't need to make any changes. The mini-map does not show everything. Go to the far west, go to full height and rotate, the coastline will come into view.
I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....

Hi there!
Just want to say thank you for this fantastic map.
I just had some small problems with the installation with the folder "My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!" (my was different, maby because I´ve the German Version) but soon everythig worked fine :)

I didnt managed it until now to reach the goal to connect Washington with SF (level tycoon) - that´s quite damanding but still fun!

THX A LOT!

Help

Post by 2391212 » Sat Aug 04, 2007 3:47 am

I installed this map, but the cities don't seem to grow. In fact, once I connect to a city, it seems like the cities become smaller. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what can be done to correct this?

I installed it and its in a folder under my games, yet when i start railroads this map is not listed under maps to use. Why not? I do have railroads on the G drive and its put the files in C:\ my documents, but it should be able to find it I would think..

Hello Slord

Best to say where all your other maps are installed. Should all be in the same place and the installer would have installed to the default location which is prob 1. below. So choose between location 1 or location 2 and make sure all your maps are there or move them there.

I move all my maps to location 2.

Maps can be in two places but only in one location to work.

1.
C:\Documents and Settings\**********\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\CustomAssets\XML\_SCENARIOS_\

I have all my maps under this directory
2.
C:\Documents and Settings\******\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\UserMaps\

(****** is my xp user name)

Hello 2391212

Its a matter of making the cities grow. Look to see what the city needs.

The main thing is to concentrate on the particular scenario victory conditions as depending on the map not all cities will grow into metropolises. I dont play much further than the winning all the objectives.

There was two folders for railroads in the my games folder. Mine - for the g link was railroads, not sid... railroads!. I moved the custom folder to railroads and it works now.

This might have been indeed one of the best maps I've played.
Nuff said.
Thanks a lot!

Thanks for effort! I'm a Sid Meier's Railroads big fan from Poland!
I've just installed that package. Installation was succesful, but when I load this scenario [ it appears in scenarios menu, everything is okay ], the loading screen stops at "Miscounting rivers".
I was waitin, and waitin and waaaitin. Nothing happened :(
Any soulution plz?

Hello elhau and welcome - lots of great reading ahead for you in the wiki great place to pick-up on stuff.

May I suggest you edit your sig with your PC specs - XP or Vista as hard to tell as no info on your machine specs.

What other programmes are running?

What other maps do you have loaded?

Was this the installer from the wiki?
