...super...I have already added all this to the ohio holiday maps...it looks great. I was afraid it might be too much white...but it looks fine after all. The trees do look much better. That mini map camera icon/quadrangle must be mixed in with anouther dds file somewhere/somehow. I tried the tint map and several others, so far no luck on finding it. I have searched through all the game's fpks.

Rodea...what is the
<szCubeLightTexture>RRT_Cube_Light_map_128.dds</szCubeLightTexture>
script doing? I know it is for lighting...but what changes will that do to a map?

Also why did you end the trees script?

rather than follow the default path of...
<TreesXMLFile>RRT_Trees.xml</TreesXMLFile>

...guess I am going to experiment some here and see just what those are all about.
...I think I see how to get my new trees in-game this way. I can substitute my tree model in place of a default tree/clutter number that I am not using...

typos in map =seasion = season

unless you spelled it like that on purpose

This could be an interesting project. I will try repaint all of the houses, industries, trees and buildings for winter, fall and summer.
Sounds like good.... :P
It's like I said before in first thread, these map I release in order to the peoples in this forum to know that trees can be added snow effect, and about Industries or others stuff to be honest I can do that, but I gueess be better if other guy will do that.

That's light environtment for this Game, if you make a new model for this game by 3d software can be better if these model gived this environment

If you have a new trees model and want to add to your map you have to defined that model in RRT_Trees_yourmap.xml, but if don't that is not needed

Thanks for all the help Rodea...I have added a bunch of new stuff for my holiday maps thanks to you. I put your trees in, made a winter bridge file and am winterizing the depots, station and terminal buildings.

The triangle he speeks of is the white one in the games mini map. I have gone through all the games fpks and files and haven't found it yet. I am still looking, but if you find it please let us know where it is. It would be nice to see our view point while playing on these white snow maps. The triangle just vanishes into the snow and you don't know which way is north and it is easy to get turned around without it. :D I was able to find the game arrows in the interface file and get those changed to a green color from white. So I have found several items but not this mini map triangle yet.

Say...I have looked through all of the interface files and haven't found where that quadrangle gets it's color and shape from...if you find it somewhere please let me know. I changed the arrows to red and they work great...I also see where I can change the load screens and game browsers and more...I just need to find that mini map quadrangle or whatever it is.
That sucker is hiden somwhere might need to put a bounty on its head :D

Say Rodea, I found the folder where all the cube lighting files are. It looks like there might be five or six different cube lights, one has a grey color. I thought I might try them out one at a time and see what happens.

Have you had any luck finding the mini maps white triangle? It must be placed in with some other dds file somewhere.

Thanks so much for showing that the default games dds files can be changed this way...like the trees. At first, I thought the trees might put too much "white" color on the map. But the map looks fine, and the trees don't look too white after all...thanks.
