One thing I did notice, at least one of the start cities has the track headed out into the sea. If you adjust the <Rotation>7.999353</Rotation> you can get it so both ends have a better chance. Attached is a guide I made. The red line is the Station, the black the Track. Also, when placing Rapids, the water flow on them goes Black to Red.

I hope this helps you and others.

I've been wanting to play around with scenarios for awhile, and I figured for my first try I'd make a scenario for this map! I've played it through a couple of times and didn't get any errors; can someone else give it a try and tell me what they think of my first try at scenario objectives?

Slappy - after you unzip it, go into C:\Documents and Settings\me\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\CustomAssets\XML\_SCENARIOS_ and click on the Hawaii folder. just put it into there. It will ask you if you want to overwrite it, just click on yes.

Great scenario but I failed on all the first lot of objectives as this map has to much going for it. I was to busy getting towns hooked up, delivering goods just basically enjoying the island layout and variety that this map has to offer.

I was more into single player laying track. But appreciate you doing a scenario for this map.

Looking forward to Choo-Choo releasing the next version.

Very nice job Zanger. You should look into some of the other maps that dont have scenarios.

Glad you all enjoyed it! If you have any tips/suggestions/ect let me know. Was the scenario too easy? Was it too hard? I play on Mogul difficulty and I figure if I fail a couple of times then the difficulty is just right.

I'll take a look around and see if there are any other great maps lying around that need scenarios. Anyone have any suggestions??

scenarios

Post by Slappy Da Clown » Wed Apr 04, 2007 11:31 am

Those are 3 good ones. But there must be a dozen that need good scenarios. If you are interested in making historical scenarios I would be happy to help with research all this coding stuff is way beyond an old drunken clown though. Any how, keep up the good work. This one was hard but not to the quitting point for a newbie I would think. Might need to play it more than once to beat it but that makes for a good time, eh.
