My brother works raising and lowering a bridge in Joliet Ill. He was supposed to go home about 2 hours ago, but the Railroad has a minor problem..... Anyone living in or around the state of Iowa, there seems to be a lost train! No, I'm not kidding, they lost a train!

and if you stole it, please return it.......

No dwax, it was last known going east into Iowa. At first I thought it was lost in the cornfields, but it's to early in the season for those...

Did they look up in the sky, I heard UFO's take farm animals sometimes. Maybe there is a new UFO guy in the area and thought the traing was a new type of snake. :)

From your spelling I'd say you could give more information on this "Train,Bar,Drinks,Drunk clown steal train" line of thought.

Well, they found the train....... :D The track they use from Iowa is a 2 track Metro. One of them was down for repairs, and they missed their window to get thru. :? Then, while they waited they over ran their 12 hour limit, so they were 'dead' as they put it. They had to wait for a replacement crew to get there. The replacement crew had to check over to WHOLE train, air, hydrolics, the works. Then they had to wait for a window to get thru. Of course, why should the foot let the head know what it was doing as long as the hand had it's fingers in the cookie jar...... My brother got 2 1/2 hours overtime out of it at railroad wages.
Good thing it wasn't a passenger train! :!:

I heard the same thing happening to an Amtrak train in Stamford: the conductor had "blown up" & none of the assistants were qualified conductors. After about 10 minutes of "discussion" with the dispatcher (now they call them rail traffic controllers), she agreed to stay with the train & move it out of the station, clear of the interlocking, where they waited for a replacement conductor. Not that uncommon for Amtrak, where they are often at the mercy of delays caused on others' lines.
Now, after lost train, here comes "Spirit Tracks" - LOL.

"The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks" puts hero Link into a conductor's outfit, riding the rails on a train with a mounted cannon.

This is a quote from the above link:
Link apparently has the ability to create and command enemies, making them fight others. The game will be available in the U.S. later this year.
This would work great on this forum.

Glad they found it! I was beginning to worry that the economy has tanked so badly that crews were abandoning trains in the middle of nowhere, like in Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged."

BTW does anyone else occasionally play as Taggart Transcontinental or Phoenix-Durango?
