Should we apply the patch or the holiday scenario first? Does it matter? I would hope it doesnt.

I don't really think it matters, but I'd apply the patch first. The holiday scenario shouldn't overwrite anything, it should be installed to its own folder, IIRC...

I should point out the standard disclaimer, that D2D users will need to get their patch from D2D directly, and shouldn't install this patch.

Firaxis seems to have been very quiet since Xmas. Will there be another patch or are they finished with the game and what we have now is what we are stuck with? Will the terrain editor be improved and actually supported? Will the CTD issues be addressed? It would be nice to know.

I too wait patiently for Firaxis to move on these issues. In the meantime, I've downloaded the Railroad Tycoon 3 DEMO and have had more uninterrupted playtime (no CTD) on the two given scenarios than all of the default and user created maps for Railroads. It's likely I'll purchase that game to tide me over.

Not having been an RTC3 fan previous to Railroads, I was amazed at the striking resemblance. While I understand that the two products are not 'supposed' to be closely related, the similarities only make Railroads failure to play without issues more dissapointing.

I prowl this and other forums for some word from Firaxis daily. It would be good of them to at least let us know whether we're wasting our time.

Yea they have been pretty quite. :( They said there would be more that they were going to do with the game, maybe it's just to far over there head. I mean look, they can't even fix the new livery skins mod, and that was given to us in October almost 3 months ago. I would say that there is a meaning why they are so quite. :(

I have nothing nice to say, so I probably shouldn't say anything.

Firaxis if you are out there we are long past the turkey dinner day. We need an update on the next patch :) We don't want no bandaids either we want a quality patch that fixes LOTS of issues :) God I hope they didn't fire and forget this game due to poor sales. I have no idea how well the game did to be honest but it definantly needs more work. Someone order Firaxis some pizzas and see if we can get some patch info. MMMMM Pizza...
