Adding a new train to Railroads.

ok even though I said I wasn't going to do this. I am sence I have now worked out the last bugs, Smoke, and animations have been defeated.

now I'm going to include everything you need to do this. so you won't need any graphics program to do the tutorial.

So after going over this tut you should have a new GP7 ingame.

Programs you will need. any hexeditor, notepad or wordpad.

This tutorial is made for users with maya, if you don't have maya (max) the export settings will be different, same if you have blender. now as the binding the skin and exporting is easy enough. I can do that for you if you want to do your own project. however I won't do animations. (but if you can just reuse say the animations already ingame you don't need me to do that anyway, this is what I did)

now this is a very rough draft. if you guys have problems with it ask questions and I will try and re explain to the best of my abilities.

also you will need akmads scenario manager to add the GP7 to a map.

this is the first tut I have ever wrote, be nice please :)

Thanks for the Tutorial.
Seems like alot to go through just to get a loco to work.

I don't think I will worry about locos for railroads and just stick to Trainz.

That tutorial is really gorgeous,mate you did an extraordinary job indeed !! :!:

Told that it is still quite complicate and long to add even a single new loco so I sincerely hope that those max files you mentioned will be released very soon,at that point I bet you will make us dance the hardest rock'n'roll with your extraordinary creations that our lazyminds could import and play with.. :oops: :oops: :shock: :shock: :D :D

aye, I'm hopeing the max files help remove 90% of that list. although most of those will probably just move into max. But it will still probably be easyier.

Will this work for adding new railcars as well? Or is there a different tut for that? I want to makt the goods car now into a box car and dairy into actual tank cars.

im trying to make a gp38-2W version of the gp38 because i think it should be easy since i just have to modify the noise of the gp38 but im haveing some troubles before i modify it with nifscope i can have it ingame as a tender car but thre are some things that dont work right (mainley in the trucks and paint) but after i use nifscope it crashes my game

(note im useing blender and im new to modleing
