I found this mod just now, it was created by Mange. Official page for it is at:

http://hawkdawg.com/rrt/smrr/smrr.htm

Description:
--------------
This mod adds tender cars to all the steam engines. It also includes the extra tender cars that Firaxis had excluded from the game. I also re-scaled the engines to look more in-scale with the cars and re-scaled the cars and engines to make them a little more in-scale with the world.

Yeah, I tried it. It is nice, but I don't like the way the trains are scaled. I like the bigger ones, and this mod also scaled the wheelbases so they look like NG engines on SG track. So I adjusted it to have tenders but no scaling. 8)

Thx swaller
i like mods, i play a lot and mod alittle civ.
Tenders are cool, i hope soon we will have nice new trains and wagons like with units in civ
I am open to cooperate in somekind of mods here.
Is a pity that the game is a little bugged
i get a lot of windows crash to desktop, when i try to double tracks.
Any news about patches?
ciao

Does this increase the length of your train and hence problems with trains getting by eachother in tight cities?

eh if it does, it adds half a car length which really isn't that big of a deal.

Barely, and any car that doesn't fit on the screen/station will disappear into thin air anyways. :)

I think on Sid Meier Railroad 1 it was called " caboose " .....it should also be changed when the era switches to a new one...told that, that's a good job indeed.

Does anyone know how to contact Mange?
When my forum got hacked I lost his email address and the read me that comes with his tender add-on shows my old forum as a contact and the link for that forum no longer works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi just joined - love the site. :)

I'm also having trouble with this mod not working. Perhaps it's something to do with the latest patch? The only train that seems to have a tender is the norris, but the american, mogul and 10-wheeler don't seem to have them. Also the norris is scaled down like the mod describes, which makes the other trains look silly.

Anyone else having this problem?

Ps - just got the game today. :D Really confused why this game did not ship with tenders. :?
