The Engine is a mod of Rodea2007's Bigboy (found HERE), so all credit for the files i used or changed goes to him. The Tender is a mod of my FEF Tender.

Version 1.1:
  • - smooth engine and tender models
    - minor texture fix
Version 1.0 Changes:
  • 1. Model:
    • - almost complete new (just used Rodea's as reference and kept some minor details in, e.g. bell, numberplate, ...)

    2. Texture:
    • complete new
    3. Animation: (as seen in pic #2 below)
    • - fixed Valve Gear Animation to match the Walschaert standard (not Rodea's fault, the Mikado he used has the wrong animation)
      - Articulated Front (Pilot, Trailing Bogie, Front Drive Wheels)
      - 180° Offset Angle between 1st and 2nd Set of Drive Wheels and Rods
      - Adjustments to Rod Positions to match the new Texture
      - Adjusted Engine Animation (bell position), because of slightly increased length of the model
Specifications:
  • - Decal Texture (Engine and Tender) included in the Engines DIFF (UP #4012)
    - Centipede Coal Tender (shared animation)
    - Polygon Count: 8344 (with Tender)
Pictures:
SMRailroads!0056.jpg
bigboy_animations.jpg
Installation:
Extract the .zip and start the unpacked selfextracting archive from it and follow the instructions of the included ReadMe for XML editing.

<FIX 1.1b>
- XML readded to the package, fixed path to the ReadMe

Enjoy

I got a challenge for you wingsofphoenix. Think you can make a New York Central Hudson?

I made a topic about the subject but no one replied: http://www.smrsimple.com/forums/viewtop ... =45&t=4272

(mods feel free to delete when necessary.)

hm.. guess I used the wrong path to it on extracting, but it should be inside the 4-8-8-4_BigBoy folder anyway. :D
Sorry about that :?

P.S. Fixed the package and included the XML again, try version 1.1b

Yes it should unpack 2 folders, but there shouldnt be any packed zip

Important:
To make it show up follow the readme instructions, BUT for use with a SAM/SAM2 Map you have to exchange any explained folder from \customassets\ to \usermaps\MAPNAMEHERE\ AND you can skip Step 4.1.. :!:

hm.. I guess, I should write a new readme someday^^
