Post by Rodea2007 » Sun Jan 18, 2009 12:18 pm

As Like I said I will upload my new engine into this forum, so I hope you will enjoy with my mods and if you have question, critics or comment please don't hesitate
In the first you get Dash9 BNSF 4723 from MSTS please readme.txtto the first. and I must give credit for Who's skin maker for this Train and ask permission to use his skin.
This train have engineer so you can see more realistic if have no engineer, and this engineer not same by engineer from original ( I mean I was edit engineer.kfm and reduce until have only 7 KF files and called Rodea_Engineer.kfm, because original engineer only correct if used by Steam Engine and this KFM is designed to use by Diesel engine

This Engine has been delete by me

Yes you're right
Insert this line below into RRT_Names_yourmap.xml

<RRTTrains>
<TextKey>
<Tag>TAG_NAME_RODEA_DASH9_BNSF4723_MSTS</Tag>
<Text>Dash9 BNSF 4723 MSTS</Text>
<Gender>M</Gender>
</TextKey>
</RRTTrains>

or you can download the rar file below and put together with other Dash9MSTS file (that rar provided RRT_Names.xml, Rodea Dash9_dummies.nif after tweaked and routing_Dash9.tga

just it, happy fun

Looks good. Ever think of farm houses or warehouses? They might look good too.

You can also use the dds animal image files from Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. You could try and use the fencing material and make a zoo, where trains need to bring in food, take out waste etc. Even have animals arrive at a port, then transfer them to the zoo.
Might be a cool idea...different.
A circus could be used, with circus cars. I have the whole set of Ringling Brothers circus cars made by Roundhouse HO scale kits. Make a couple circus cars to deliver animals. A Farris wheel could be made as a mini circus park model and used in a city as a monument.
It would make a cool mod inside Trainz, as I am building new stuff in the 2009 world builder now.

...very cool idea I like the elephants. It also lets people know what types of wild animals live there. I placed the black panther on the florida gold map. The ohio map could have wild bob-cats. :)

A good idea Lowell... :D
As I say never before in this forum I want decoration in this game will have animals with animation, the fact is now I do work, only one that can not when the game is opened after saved, decoration is no more, I have to find a reason this time in the game store decoration not saved.
Another project that I currently do, later in the my map no more train with the variant 1 and variant 2, that there is the train with the company namely BNSF will pull the wagon with the BNSF namely, Santa Fe would only pull the wagon with a brand for Santa to pull one type of goods, but with the consequences I have to make a wagon train for each brand. for example, I use the 5 railroad, for carriage of goods means I have to make 5 models of each one for a model train company plus two models for passenger and mail So for twelve kinds of items I have to make 84 models .... wow ..... unbelievable, how would you know about it ...?.
If not so then when the train did not find the car that matches the brand the game will be CTD. That's what happens to the SMR-Intercontinental, there are variants train named BNSF, but not all goods are made to be variant BNSF so when train was ordered to carry goods that are not variant BSNF the game will CTD
But it has to start trying to see me do the picture below:
That is two types of companies train the BN (Burlington Northern) and Santa Fe (SF), which brings together the same kind of goods that is manufactured Good, but each train carriage pull a different... :P :?: :?:

I love the Burlington Northern stuff. I'll be starting on a matching F7 soon maybe an E8 too. any chance of double decker passenger cars? CNW used alot of them behind E8s and They would look nice behind some of mine. If you have any more spare time try making an 89 foot long TOFC/COFC car. I'm building one in 1:29th scale and they are fairly simple. Great Work :!:

Yes, I too am making engines that only pull certian cars. The florida map now has a couple new nasa engines that will be the only trains that can pull the new nasa cars. The same for the gold train. You can control what year a certian train engine pops in-game, thus it would also control what year a player can access a certian industry/good.
So if your mod starts out only with logging, make that the first train and make a log car that can only be pulled by that train etc.

Nice work.
