SW1 anyone?

Post by snoopy55 » Fri Mar 30, 2007 8:56 pm

I've been E-mailing eilelwen about the SW1 he was working on last December. He had sent it out to be texturized and hadn't heard back from the person. He's agreed to upload the models and I told him I'd try to find someone to texture it. We also spoke of a calf unit for it since it only involves removale of the cab and I think the fuel tanks. The hood can be left the way it is or lowered. The railroads mostly did these conversions.

Do I have any volenteers?

The JPGs of them are on his 'Diesel Mod' post on this forum. I'll get them to you as soon as he gets them to me if you want to tackle it.

Ta-Da....Praise to Eilelwen...I've got the SW1 material, so I hope some of you will see what you can do with it. Please try a calf unit also as a tender. Eilelwen has sent 3 files, two formats maya .ma and obj format.

Plz hurry as it gets a bit expensivwe using a 1500 Hp GP7 to haul 1 to 5 cars a short way when a 600 Hp SW1 can do the same for less. And here's 2 pics of one that would be great for a skin. And a pic of another challenge for you or anyone else, a Pioneer Zephyr!

He's getting there. It's an Alco S1 tho. BUT, it can be redone to a SW1 and a few others.

Lowell - unless you've made some changes, the enging you are doing is an Alco S1, not a EMD SW1. Below are 2 pisc. Also, the one I want in the roster :P

A good place for anyone looking to find engines to make and skin is here:

Sorry...two weeks vacation/sunburn, then took-up a huge new contract for my company when I got back.

I had just gotten the Nif tools for Blender before I left. Decided to use blender instead of max. I should have time this week to unwrap the UV layer and then start the Photoshop stuff. It should be all-downhill from there. I also can finish my oil tanker-cruise ship-container ship combo plus an SD40-2, a Southern passenger car set, Apollo Rocket and mini launch pad...the Florida map Scenario is complete...a ton of objectives...

The SW1 is first in line though :)
