You have the best looking trains! But I still don't see them

I'm going to do some playing around in the folders it just has to show up.

I hope I helped...Remember smr has to be totaly closed before you make changes .You cannot minamize then make changes, they would not show until you restart SMR or worse crash you game

If anyone who has any skin ingame. PLEASE post a screenshot ,
So I know Iam not the only one ......LOL I put hours of work in these skins ...And want nothing more than someone else to enjoy Them...

I thought I would finish whut Dan Started
So here it is Dans P5A from the trian templates

Ingame versions are default,_v1,_v2
(another loco with 3 skins included)

If you have no P5A skins version # will Be _v3

Ive versioned # these files
p5a v = _v3
p5a pc v2 = _v4
p5a pc v3 = _v5

Unzip to
Documents and Settings\YourName\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\CustomAssets\Trains

If you have P5a skins rename accordingly

Where's the file for them? Are these Skins? Then when you want to use them select the train ans change the skin?

I added one more version for the p5a. Basicly same skin with
inverted player colors ... Above

I wasnt happy with the lack of detail so I went over it agian

I still can't get then to show up, but dont stop making them! I think that Sid Meier's should look at this topic and help us with the next patch or implement the new locos into it. Or set up some kind of "Mod" that will make it not so hard for the moders to help this wonderfull game.

OzoB, what is the livery skin pack? Do I need it to see the skins? And how do I change skins? All I see how to do is either change a Loco or its's color. This is where a mod would be nice to chane somthing like this.

I play only Paddy maps,but I dont finished,because I want pretty maps-good map.When i have been child I have a small railway and this SMR for me

OK I found the livery skin pack that never helped me. I don't even see them

I also see that when I ckange the color of a certian Loco, it changed all in the game to that color! So that is another bug in the game that needs to be fixed.

No theres a button you can uncheck to paint all trians or not (????)
And while your at that screen if you hit the previous Or next buttons
It will rotate all the skins you have for that LOCO.....................

Reread this thread very carefuly Ive explained exactly how to version and add skins in detail.Theres even I screen of how I keep my folders organized. With the exact path to place skins.If you follow this file structure. The next skin you get, You can look in your trians folder for that trian see whut your next version number should be and name
correctly... No guess work.....I also provide directions in the readme with the retail game version #s so if you dont have a skin for that Loco
You Know whut number to give it.....

From the trian templates provided by Firaxis,
Once you have a good based saved. You cant easly repaint differnt ways,
blend with differnt techniques or what ever..Takes more time than my wife allows LOL
I might take some request on flag or state flag themes.
But I wont do any steam locos,only TGV,GP-7&38, F3 series,v200
and the Ac4400 when its released.Only because Iam far enough with my own templates I can do anything i want to them Without starting all over
from the Lighting maps.

Maybe this is easier for me than others,Ive been skinning/modding/for sometime > My best advice is practice make perfect..
Download the skin tut. and templates from here and Keep trying
Iam gonna send you files for you to get photo editing software
Follow the directions exactly youll have it for free.
Then just learn the fundamentals use the templates paint away ..
