the sd60 fits in with my plan, I can make the sd40-2 work, but it won't be as big as an upgrade as the sd60 would be.

Well, locomotive evolution wise you could go SD40-2(1972) then SD70 (1992?). These were biggers steps in evolution. I remember the SD50 and SD60 fondly but they didn't sell HUGE like those other 2 models. And once again the exterior look of the 3 is practically the same.

I have the trial, but its useless to me. I have windows XP pro x64. there is only one version of max I can use. and the niftools will NEVER support it. So unless someone with max 5/6/7/8 decides to help. there is nothing I can do.

Loco wise I think I'm gonna stick with the GE AC6000CW-1994, although if enough people want a change its not really a problem, as I havn't even started those yet.

although production wise the AC6000 there is only a few hundred. the AC4400 would be a better choice outa the two.

The reason I want to go with these two is they are visually different in there standard outfit.

Yeah tell me about it. I built myself a new 64bit system this June with XP64 OS thinking for once i would be ahead of the curve and in good shape. But it seems we are TOO far ahead of the curve and there is a TON of stuff that won't work with it. Our printers and kodak digital camera are hooked up to the OLD system to work and my Norton Systemworks is useless, etc etc....

hehe true, all I would have to do to be satisfied is change the name hehe.

I din't have any driver problems. I have stability problems. random rotation of the earth kind. this Xmas will be a mobo replace. which I hope will solve my problems. Of course it could be the powersupply or the mobo too /sigh.

I may ask my brother if he will help, he has a none x64 system.

ok so the SW1 went off to Texture Artist so he can work his texture work .

and today I modeled the AC4400, I still need to do some of the small details but its mostly done.

I relize its hard to see whats going on, I will make some better renders tommorow.

I personally would like to see the MAC 80 loco. You never see it in these types of games.

MAC80, seems to be a rare one. But once I get this down I will make a tutorial, so that everyone can do this .

soon will depend on my texture artists, I could have all the models done and ingame in a few days time, but actually getting textures on them will take quite a big longer.

Ok, even though this is a deisel mod I had to add atleast one steam engine.

So here is a shot on my progress on modeling a 4-6-6-4 challenger. I know it dosn't look like much, but thats also because I havn't finished it or done the transparency.

Odd, at first glance it reminded me of a model I converted to HO gauge many years ago..... it was a German canon on rails.
