I beleave all you have to do is open the trian cars xml and resave

this will change the date of the file. And fix your problem,I think ???

Yeah I managed to get it all working. I should have looked a bit harder. The answer was there in the talk section. Silly me. :oops: Thanks though! :D

Tender must be the same colours as locomotive.
Tender is similar only at newer even locomotives, there is tender otherwise, corner at American locomotive. :shock: :shock:

Has anyone had the tender mod conflict with the Santa train? I installed the tender mod as per instructions and the Xmas train is screwed up as well as no tenders on any steam engines.
edit: found the fix a little further down. :)

got a question for anyone. If a map has it's own traincar.xml does that xml file have to be updated to show tendercars? Maybe thats why I don't have tenders.
20 minutes later I have answered my own question and thats a big "Affirmative"!!!! I added the new trains.xml and the traincar.xml to my bc map folder and presto.... I now have tenders.

Hey everyone... New to this forum so HELLO!

This Mod is way cool. It is disapointing that they didnt include the tenders in the real game.

The only way i can get this to work is with the unpatched version of the game. When I update to 1.1 it wont work no matter what i try.

Anyone manage to get this to work with 1.1?

any tips would be great

I got it to work... then broke it again. Oops my bad.

So this should work in multiplayer right? The tenders have no effect on the cost or performance of the trains as far as i can tell.

Any one know for sure?

OK I know Im pretty dense but Im missing something here.

the read me says
"Installation: Copy the XML folder and the NewTenders.FPK file to your c:\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\CustomAssets\ folder. To remove the files just delete them"

But I already have an XML folder that it wants to overwrite ( then I would loose my scenarios eh )

Help an idiot out here guys

Just open up the XML file you downloaded and place the two files in it into the XML folder. This was originally created when there was probally no XML file.
I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....

Have placed the three files


RRT_TrainCars
RRT_Trains
NewTenders.FPK

into

C:blah blah blah/ my docs/mygames/railraods/customs assets/xml
( the path is correct dont worry )
no joy & no tenders
