I will see what I can do about adding those, the Big Boy Or souther pacific cab forward are probably the biggest we can go.
Thomas the train engine, that would be an interesting mod. I'll see what we can do, for now steam trains arn't high on the list, as I'm not sure I can do totally custom animations yet. once I can then yes, we will have steam trains.

eilelwen,
I finally got around to loading up that Bunit. Neat!
Question, you mentioned in that they were only avaible in the 2 maps you included. Can you give instruction on how to put them in other maps? Can it be done with Railroads! Scenario Manager?

yes infact it can be done with the editor
. and all you need to modify to add it to any map, although this might effect multi player which is why I din't do it to all the maps. is modify the trains xml for the map and add these lines.
<Train>
<szName>TAG_NAME_FA_SERIES</szName>
</Train>

FWIW, we scrapped any plans to do the Challenger or the Big Boy because those trains were just too darn long, and even with our aggressive "squashing" of many of the trains, we knew those just wouldn't fit on a lot of the tracks you could build.
Would be cool to see them as a mod though!

I'm thinking the big boy might be tooo long, but then again I have build tracks, (there are some maps where you have long rails) and they would work on those, the question is can I get them working, I will try you can be sure of that though

I wonder if a double header set would be better that a Bigboy. What would be nice would be the ability to put a spur at the bottom of a mountain climb with an engine there to help you up, then it returns to the spur. Ah another wish to throw into the pot.....

I'm going to be redoing the B-Unit here in a few days so that it works 100% like the GP7 does, when it does I will release a better tut for using it. Heck I might even get to it today depends on how far I get on the AC4400 texture.

At the risk of sounding stupid,The patents xml was missing,Now the fa-sereis works fine...But i did notice that after its release when you buy a new trian (any) it starts with the default colors,{personaly think thats kool} then if you upgrade it .they restore back to what ever color scheme your using, ....keep up the great work cant wait to see gp7 and ac4400
