WIP 4-8-4 FEF 3 Northern
2 minor things. I installed the new version of Scenario Manager and when I clicked on your Southwest Ontario it gave me an error. It couldn't find Smithfalls. Well, I knew it was in there cause it showed up under cities. When I searched out RRT_Scenario_MP10.xml I found the problem. In the 1881 to 1970 era the city is mentioned twice, first as SMITHFALLS and then as SMITH_FALLS.
That Scenario Manager appears to be good for checking out maps!
The 2nd thing was odd. I created a French map with the AB units in it, but when I ran it I got 2 FA units facing the same way!! Unfortunitly I didn't think to get a screen shot of it and I can't get it to do it again.
1 detail, when you select the AB unit, the engine title is missing. The manuf. and date are there tho.

I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....
I have the NewTenders and Bunit .fpk's. As I said, I can't get it to happen again. If it does, I'll screenshot it.eilelwen wrote: hmm with the two A units I'm not sure what could be causing that, what files do you have in your custom assets mainly just the .fpk files.

The top .jpg from ace13567 (one up) is just what I had. I can't remember if they were back-to-back or both forward tho.eilelwen wrote: hmm with the two A units I'm not sure what could be causing that, what files do you have in your custom assets mainly just the .fpk files.

ya it was extremley easy for me to do that just had to change RRT_Trains.xml, RRT_TrainCars.xml, then just had to add it to one of the maps RRT_Trains.xml, and if i wanted my train to have a name in game i had to add it to Names_ENU.xml
man and comparing the sereen shot from my computer to the one taken of yours make me want a new computer with a beter graphics card. like i can run it with the graphics cranked up its just slow and whenever i click on the button to change my paint on the trains my computer crashes and automaticaly restarts lol.

What changes need to be made to the X<L for twin locos? And how do I add new train cars to the game? I wanted to make a new goods car but it keeps ending up usin the food car gfx. or half of the new boxcar shows and half of the oods car v2 shows? I skinned out the food car to look like "The Bay Line" and wanted the goods cr to look like the railbox cars. I get some pics by Saturdy when I get home.
you need the tender mod for twin locos to work . Then you have to add these lines in the trian xml.
<szTenderCar>V200_Dummy</szTenderCar>
next you have to add a new tendercar(V200_Dummy) to your Triancars xml.
once you have the mod its realy self explanitory you use the model ,ect.
from your trian xml to fill in the blanks
heres in example from my games xml
Trian xml
- <Train>
<szName>TAG_NAME_V200_B_B</szName>
<Year>1952</Year>
<szManufacturerName>Deutsche Bundesbahn</szManufacturerName>
<szModel>V200_BB.kfm</szModel>
<szDummyModel>V200_BB_Dummies.nif</szDummyModel>

I modified the files and got a GP7 w/F-Series and a GP38-2 w/GP7. They do need different name tags and roundhouse discriptions, at least I think that's all I need.
Here is the change for the first one.....
<Train>
<szName>TAG_NAME_GP7</szName>
<Year>1949</Year>
<szManufacturerName>EMD</szManufacturerName>
<szModel>EMD_GP7.kfm</szModel>
<szDummyModel>EMD_GP7_Dummies.nif</szDummyModel>
<szTenderCar>A Units Dual</szTenderCar>
<szCar>_v2</szCar>
And here are the pics:
