The new site looks wonderful. :D

I love trains prolly about as much as I love pirates so this certainly is an excellent game for a fan site.

Plus the fact that it's a Sid Meier game means that it will be a quality game to be a fan of! :D

Yup, you can say what you want about Sid's games, but they do offer fantastic value for money. :)

Well Well, nice to see interesting things

Allready seeing SMR trainers on the download sites.

So have you tried the game?
Does it live up to your expectations?

Most of the reviews that I've been able to find are
quite non-flattering.

Like those from users on Amazon.

I haven't had time yet but I'm buying it for sure.

Rook, usually not one to rave about a game very soon, actually recommended it. That says a lot to me. :)

I got this for my B-Day...

But with that said, anything Sid touches is GOLD in my book!!

Enjoiable, easy to use, the only complaints i have is CTD's and the Laying of track in regards to double track and what not..

Hey! Nice to see you Westley! :)

I haven't tried the Railroads! yet either, but I think I will, at some point. I gather that the most unflattering comments come from a similar perspective that Sid's Pirates! could be blamed from: Too simplistics in the end. For those who are not troubled by simplistic games, this should not detract from the enjoyment of the game.

As long as you're not expecting a RRT4 or a deep, complex RR sim, you shouldn't be dissapointed - unless you run into major technical problems.

I've had almost no technical problems personally.

The game is fun albeit a little simple. Multiplayer is where the real action is - which seems a little odd for a RR game IMO.

Hey Led! Long time no see. :)

Junk bin? Damn, strict rules or anything? We send mails like... once a year or something like that, doubt we're suddenly notrious spammers...

@bril: Yup, I finally got the game today and played a full round. I desperately need a gfx card update it seems but between the lag and the graphics weirdness, it looks like the game's depth goes no deeper than Pirates! did. Still fun though.
