Hi all. Just wanting to ask a question? what year did rail arrive in the us also what company and what type of engine was used.As a uk member i know about english rail history but not much american rail history as i would like to make an historicaly accurate us map from the begining to modern day.Thanks

Thank you derailed for replying to my question.But i think that would be a problem in the game as the 1700s would be a problem to model.And with that run how would the ai handle it.I think i should of been more specific about the type of rail service.What year, which company, engine and what citys or towns where connected for passenger service. Thank you anyway

Well wikipedia says that the first railroad in the USA was Baltimore - Ellicots Mills (first part of Baltimore & Ohio Railroad) opened on Dec 28 1829.
