Building industry ???

Hi,

I'm just returning to play Railroads and wanted to know whether it's possible to build an industry from an empty lot in the single player mode (0 opponents).

Problem is that I get to choose the industry but when I click on the icon or place my cursor near the city nothing appears??

It does not work that way.
You can build an industry in the city, up to three if the city is large enough.
Villages get one.
Towns get two.
Cities get three. That is the max under normal condition.

Look at the picture. It is a town. It has one industry (power plant), it has a white "Empty Lot". If you click on that, an other box will appear, wher you can pick an industry.

When the town will grow to be a City the next slot will be available.
