Hey this is a great site, great game and very knowledgeable ppl.
Thats the good stuff, here's the negative and I hope I'm not speaking for myself. There ARE ppl out there that simply want to enjoy the game and when we dare to make some mods to the game, I think of the flying games I enjoy like LOMAC where there is an add-on manager, life could be much easier.
So then all you have to do is point to the add-on and the manager does the rest, puts things where they have to go, even show you pre-screens of what it is you just installed.
Now with this VERY entertaining game, when it comes to adding a mod, I have seen pages and pages of I guess great info. I say I guess because I don't understand half of what it is y'all are talking about.
So what I'm trying to say is, it would be nice to just slap some of these great add-ons and go to them. Instead I guess you need an engineering degree to decipher the lingo.
I have dl'd add-ons with "Installers" but when you click the installer I don't know where they are going and I never see them in the game.
And then there's this Santa nightmare, whatever thats all about. I guess you have to add that 1 1st and then the rest?
So here's a challenge for the brainiacs here......put it out at the knucklehead level (guys like me) in a coule sentences or less on how to get the add-ons in and going.
I know I have read posts, tips, sticky's and in the end, it's a mess so I guess I'll just keep playing the original ver. with patches.
Any whoooooo, this is a 1st for me playing a train game but what a GREAT game it is. I just got to buy out some Baron playing 3 other bots on the hard level and I owned the whoooole world. It's nice to be the king.
Thanx for all the great work from all
