Wow am I confused. I don't know if I want every map to have them. I juust want at least one good map that has the stacked shipping containers and two engines and late model. I see moded maps that have them but I don't see where I have to install them or where to get um.
You can not just "get um" :P.

They are not part of the basic Firaxis setup.

People are making custom scenarios (maps) and then edit the reverent XML files and provide the graphic if necessary have these gizmos.
The Double stack containers are premade by Snoopy and are available as BuildingBlocks at their Forum at http://eric.bkbobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=84
The dual engines you have to make yourself, just follow the Example of Dr Frag's Amerigonia Map at this link.

If you are looking for a map with Double stack containers look at the Side to Side map at this address:
http://hawkdawg.com/rrt/smrr/smrr.htm
or my Zimbabwe map http://www.hookedgamers.com/forums/view ... =42&t=3323
Lowell also has some neat dual Mikados, but he is hiding them.

Right now I can not think of any Scenario that has them both.

You mean the default script for them or the southern or skippers versions: :?:

Please just let me know if there is anything you guys need and I will send you links to whatever files you wish. I just have gotten sidetracked with Trainz 2009 WBE. I want to make those new threads we talked about, and then version 2 of each will get posted. Skippers is almost done. I need to replace the double stacked containers on the one cargo ship for the steel stacks, I might get to that tonight maybe, then it will be complete.

I did not know Snoopy55 "made" the double-stacked containers, I thought it was Choobacca and the guys who made Basin and Range. :)

Yes Lowell, he 'made' containers. They first appeared in Basin and Range, but snoopy55 used them in his Side to Side DSC SAM map, greatly improoved with much better graphics. 13 to be exact.

And different ones can be mixed to create all new ones.

He is planning on making more when he can get more pictures to use in making them.

Ah, that is great. For some reason I thought it was from Basin and Range first on the demo map. Great work Snoopy55. Sorry I had not known of this before. I will make sure to add him to my credits on my new versions as I used them on a couple of the maps. Those things have been on just about every map as well. :)

I have several new ones. I will do some digging and post them here.

Yes, snoopy55 made a lot of stuff for this game. And solved some problems also. He is helping me with my map.

This is the container car that was in Basin and Range.

You might want to find out where stuff came from before you use it so you can give the right person credit. If you see something in another persons map that you would like to use, ask him where it came from if he has not already given credit, which he should anyway.

Oh ya, that stuff was made by STEP Inc. As a group, they should be given the credit.

That's a great idea! :P
When you post them, post them individually with the appropriate XML file, so other people can use them.

Giving credit is a good idea, when I arrived at the forum, many maps were using them, none had credits for anything. Many map makers use parts from maps and do not give credit. In most cases it isn't a big deal as everyone uses everything from all maps anyway here.
That being said, I will gladly give credit to anything I use if others let me know. I had given credit on my maps for that car to Basin and Range, I will edit that before the v2 sets are published.
