A recent poster has been replying to old posts, some more than 12 months old. Total post count is around 50, all in the last 24 hours. Could this be causing some of these post/submit errors?

Well, that couldn't be me he's talkin about.

First, cuz most of my posts add a perspective that is clearly missing, regardless of how old the post is.

Second, I've made 51 posts in the last 24 hours.

But for a second there, I thought he was discretely talking about me. If he had been, I'd have thought him a bit of an ingrate as I've added A LOT of information that cannot be found anywhere here. Frankly it's about time a good online player added some answers....there is much that obsessive compulsive humans can teach you that AI cannot :)

Considering that this "someone"'s post were nearly all, I'm sure over fifty words there really is no problem. This was not the kind of necro/bump posting most forums try and avoid. In fact I'd love to see this forum be a bit more active in the casual under fifty words area. As this forum is now its more like a specialty mailing list then a community.

I'd kind of like to see the people who download the maps and play them give their thoughts on them and suggestions for more things in them.

Speaking of replying to old posts... I noticed no one ever answered your question Snoopy.

I downloaded about 4 of them about a year ago and played online with a few other guys. They were all unstable, game play lasted about 5 minutes or less before a crash... Result being that you kind of lose interest in the new maps which sucks because if they worked okay that would be really cool.

However, if you know why this happened and what we could do to fix it that would be nice as I play the same 3-4 maps day after day.... and I'd be happy to play test some of these maps online and give feedback, and I know others that would too (I can be very convincing...)

So let me know if there's a way to avoid them crashing in the first few minutes every time and I'll jump back on the bandwagon.

Ok, I MAY have a solution..... Have you and your friends tried any of the SAM versions? They are a bit more stable, Have no GLOBALS to mess with, and are a bit more tested out.

Let me know what happens if you decide to try them.

I really don't know the difference. I'm an online/strategy expert but I'm a complete bonehead with the mod stuff "XML wassah?" So if you can provide links to those maps or something, I'd certainly try it out but don't assume I have a clue, cuz I don't lol. You know what my element is and it ain't custom maps.

Address for all the ones posted so far:

http://www.hookedgamers.com/forums/view ... =42&t=2810

for the discussion of SAMs:

http://www.hookedgamers.com/forums/view ... =42&t=2817

And the threads in Maps that have come to the first, I think, 3 pages, have them posted on the first post of the thread. Those are the same ones in the first address. Some have Mods, which are part of the download/map, and some do not have mods.

Also, just as a side note, the above post was not made to push SAMs. They are not "mine", they "belong" to the person who wrote the map. It was made to hopefully give those playing online some new maps to play with. And if, for some reason, they don't want to work, Snoopy Inc. will be happy to try and find the reason and attempt to fix it.

And just a little note to Lowell and his gang of monkeys - Lowell, you are a completely idiotic Jackass! You have a single atom for a brain, if you have any brain at all. The only social attitude you have are derived from the words I, Me Mine and Myself. You have yet to get ANY map working and you never will. You have these dozens of testers who must be fools as you post a map and the first thing that happens is it either crashes or something is missing from it.

GET A LIFE!!! Preferably somewhere else!!!
