$46,000 for a caboose?! Have you ever been inside a caboose? Asking that much money for a caboose is ridiculous.

But I'm sure there would be some folks foolish enough to buy one.

There is a guy living just outside Oswego Illinois (near Chicago) that has had one sitting in his yard for about 30 years now. He has an HO gauge layout in it... :mrgreen: ...go figure.....

I was in one in Ottawa Illinois. It was sitting on a side track that was to be removed when my brother, who works for the railroad, let me know and took me for a visit. Kind of neat, but I wouldn't want to be on one for 8 hours or more a day.. :roll:
I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....

I've seen a good caboose for $10,000. Look at http://www.ozarkmountainrailcar.com/caboosenav.htm They have cabooses in good and bad condition.
