Having problem viewing the site.

Post by Tijer » Wed Nov 07, 2007 7:06 pm

What need to be configured so that I can view the site without having to get kicked to the indexes first. As to which index I get kicked to varies. Sometimes it is the Railroads index other times it is the main forum index. After each kick I can go in and read each thread as I wish but then I need to back out to whatever page I was originally kicked to. I am running Firefox 2.0.0.9 without adblock. Any Idea?

"Main Forum Index -> Sid Meier's Railroads! -> Railroads! Chat"
Simply don't clink of the left one.

I have two things on my internet screen.
The first comes with it, the arrows. Read the post then back out using the arrow, then go into the next one. If you are concerned about seeing what you have and have not read, the reload button will take care of that.
The second is one I put on the toolbar. I went to the main screen and did a 'left-click-and-hold' on the address, then moved it over to the toolbar and released it. This put an icon on the toolbar which I can click on that takes me directly to the forum. Clicking on it at any time takes me back to the main forum screen, clearing any threads I may have read.

I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....

I guess I am not making myself clear. My bookmark is set to the railroads forum since it is the first location that I found. I only enter the main index when I log in. I do not log in every time that I read the site. The kicking occurs regardless of being log in or not. Also to note is that it does not occur on all threads as well, the index that I land on can be the Main Index, even though I have not visited that page. Really, it makes no sense, typical computer.

Well it appears that once you have posted or reviewed on thread that if you return to the forum thru the link provided then you get the double address in the address bar. This situation causes you to get kicked out of the next topic that you entered. Really quite annoying but I can work around it.
