Are there known cheats for this game?

I ask because during some online games, I get the impression that things are somewhat strange...

I know of a few trainer that work off line. Never tried them on line. They stop the year, month and will give you about 999 million dollars.

While I do not condone cheating in on-line play a quick Google for Railroads! cheats will give you some info. Most developers try to keep things like Trainers from working in multiplayer mode, but with all the issues we've seen in SMR I don't think there was too much effort put into this area.

I wouldnt call it a cheat as such but in the maps section there are some maps that give you (cant remember exactly) 500 + million $$$ at start of a game. Having that map affects your other maps as well. (I wont say as which one - go discover those great maps people have done here.)

Plus some of the those RRT_Trains.xml files in some of the maps give you all the trains.

You can replace some of the maps RRT_Trains_****.xml with one of those RRT_Trains.xml files (of course rename it.)

May cause CTD's be warned (not for novice as I edit some of the xml files to get what I want.)

Mentioned as for some people who like to start with lots of cash and love laying track and start moving stuff just to finnish a scenario at the hardest setting. More fun than table mode.

As I said not everyones cup of tea as there some awsome scenarios in those custom made maps and its fun and a real challange to not cheat.

I learnt more by reading these forums and the wiki on strategy etc than trainers and cheats. :D

PS save often to advoid CTD's

unless I'm mistaken, the maps that give you the $500,000,000 are doing that because of a difficulty level I created for testing called 'Analyser'. It sits between TableTop and Invester. Check it out. It has to be put in the RRT_Difficulty.xml and/or the RRT_Difficulty_Original.xml. If it's only in one, it may only show up in some maps. As one person put it, it can give you a TableTop mode with money :!:
I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....

Has anyone tested XML changes in multiplayer?

I do suspect a cheat or a bug

In some online plays, My train stands at a resource and just won't load. The competition merrily loads train after train, while main just parks and builds a deficit. Is this a known issue?

that's happened to me too - i think it's when it's 'out of sync'. About half of all online games have some lag, but most times it seems to affect players evenly. Once in a while, though, i get stuck and feel like i'm getting left behind. I doubt it's a cheat - just another glitch.

ux-3 - watch the other players names and watch for track changes. Those will signify that you've lost the signal or gone 'out of sync'.
