Thanks gforce and gczobel!
gforce, what fscale did you set those guys to? Wow that's tiny!
The Terminal and City are regular size by comparison, right? (They're at regular scale and didn't get changed?)

I just added some more deep research on resources to the wiki here. Hoping to work on city growth / I/O / express bonusses next. Not sure how much more work I can do on Railroads!; could be fading fast ... I feel the call of other games coming on me. Any requests for particular research topics?

Snoop, I mean "personal rule" as in, you can make a rule in your mind, as to how you want to play the game. After all, Depots never automatically increase in size... you have to specify it, yourself. (Except for your first one, of course.) Sorry, I didn't mean a "xml rule definition" or something li...

Good points you're making, folks. Right, perhaps the most significant effect of upgrading the Depot is for the extra passenger revenue. The place the un/loading really helps is with freight , esp. if you have a train with e.g. 8 steel cars and want to switch them for 8 auto cars. That can take so lo...

Hi g, As far as I can tell, Depot doesn't really matter vs. city growth. Probably only very slightly delay its growth, because the slower unloading works against the decay factor, a little bit slower. It may be too little to notice. Remember that trains set to Wait will still always <i>start</i> unl...

I thought prefacing the names of the pages for describing maps with "Map_" could be useful because eventually there could be hundreds of maps; someone could then just list all the map pages using Search. Also it avoids having all kinds of unusually-named pages, relative to Railroads topics per se. B...

g, for your p.s., do you want to know which resources have Mountains set? There are only two . There are a lot of mountains around the Pyrenees in the France map, but now that you mention it, resources were (almost?) always on the lower slopes. Although sometimes the graphical parts (sheep etc.) wou...

Sounds good, g... Yes, there is certainly a relationship between industry and city size, but this is because anything that will build an industry, will also build a city. If your question is, "will a city grow if I start it with a Large industry?", I would think the answer would be no. But this can'...

g, they still say they're a Metropolis at 4 and 5, right? I had been noticing that "very mature" metros (which have been a metro a long time, and get tons of traffic) produce ~20% more express (p & m) than "brand new" metros (a metro that's a metro at the beginning of a scenario). Maybe it's due to ...

gforce, based on RR_Goods.XML, they have the same price ranges (min and max) in all scenarios. This is also true for newspaper announcements (RR_Events.XML). Of course, in a given game, the actual price becomes driven by how much is available, being shipped, etc. But I doubt the pricing mechanics wo...
