Re: Holidays_In_Ohio-ToyTrains CIC v2.0
Anyone still build and mod coaster3? I have several things going with that game as well. cool stuff... If you mean Roller Coaster Tycoon 3... well, there's still a thriving community on the atari boards, though you probobly know that if your still modding for it. I keep intending to get back into t...

Re: Why does the AI not buy me out when it could?
Also, I have every reason to believe that what you are seeing is their NET worth, not neccecarily their cash on hand. SO while their net might be enough to buy you out, most of their worth is actually tied up in their own stock and equipment, and is not actually liquid and available for use in a buy...

Re: Cargo delivery / route setup
eh? Not sure what your trying to do from your description. Its not your english per sey... its better than most americans, but rather your description of what is happening. Ok, you have your rail line going from A to B to C. We know that A is a coal mine and C is a steel mill. Whats in B? that affec...

Re: Update SMR ver. 1.2.0.00
Hrrrm. To throw another concept into this mix... do you all happen to know if the dds file format can accept an animated image? if so, that would be the easiest way for Lowell to get the twinkling lights, by animating the emit.dds for the light strings...

Re: FPK -vs- Folders and Game Speed
Somehow, this information doesn't surprise me at all Tjier. If I were a programmer looking at performance issues, I certainly would prefer to load data into memory once, and keep as much of the actively used data in real ram. Why? pure speed. A memseek to ram to retrieve data is 100 to 1000 times (o...

Re: DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE BABY ! !
Falconer has a point Tijer... At the moment your being more disruptive about the issue than Lowell is. I hate to say it but at this point your passionate defense of the SAM method you and Snoopy developed vs Lowell's similar but different method is only serving to make you look like the bad guy. In ...

Re: Board's new look and feel
Good question.... and one that should at least be updated in the Allowed file types text that shows up in the manage attachments section, if not anywhere else, since that tends to be the first place I check for somethink like that.

Byte? Whos got that kind of money? Nah I'm happy with my 1.18 bits. TB... AHA!!! I see his secret, Snoopy... he's using the highly secrative TESSARACTBYTE system, where most of the storage is actually extra dimensional! Always knew there was SOMETHING seriously different about you Warll... I have y...

Re: Do any of you ever play online?
I'd have to guess that there is some sort of penalty for refusing a challenge, Warll, otherwise you'd be correct. as to the physical implementation, there is usually a piece of code that maintains the ladder, etc. You issue your challenge to the other player through it, you then decide on the time a...

Re: Trying to understand the SMR style of play
In general, the focus of the game is to build YOUR empire as quickly and economically as possible. The economic focus is primarily on hauling goods, hence a very simplified stock schema. For most of us, especially in single player modes, the main focus is the goals first, then buying out any AI comp...

Falconer has a point. I found you guys via google... About the only thing I've noticed that I miss was seeing my user Icon in the upper right courner.... where you have JP morgan right now. Oh, and it was kinda confusing having to step all the way back to the main fora to be able to sign in too, but...

Re: Do any of you ever play online?
mostly like any other ladder, I'd expect. everyone gets an initial seeding thats intended to represent their skill level. once you're seeded into rungs, you can challenge those on a higher rung, and be challeneged by those on a lower one. Win a game vs a higher ranked opponent and you get their rank...
