Weird.... Well, at least I can keep moving forward now. Cause I'd created a scenario named Alphaone, for lack of a more creative name. Then I'd made the 15g map image. Opened Alpha in the terrain editor, got the basic flat map then tried to load in 15g. Map loaded, then I went to hit save without do...

Thats just it... I havent STARTED to place anything yet! just to get the new terrain into the game and saved. Only thing thats on the map so far is good old "TheNamelessCIty"... I say "edit existing scn", hit the load map and select the map. Loads up just fine, so I hit Save Map, so I have a baselin...

Well, that begs a question then... cause I'm still having problems. I've got the .tga file that should be good for a 15x15 map, and I can get it to load into the map editor. but when I go to save it crashes to desktop instead of saving... I have a feeling that this HAS to be related to the fact I'm ...

Pretty much... even Programmers have to eat, and with 2k basicly saying they wernt going to pay for any more work on SMR... well, even Sid hizzoneself would have to move on to other projects or not get PAID.

Aaaand the asnwer IS:

top to bottom, as I found from my own experimentation. Oh, and no alpha channel, it gives the game major heartburn. You should update the making your own terrain maps to include those facts Snoopy...

The one thing I cant seem to find an answer for is with the 8 subsections....

When you go to combine them into 1 targa, are they place side by side, or top to bottom?

Personally I'd like a few more repaints for the newer streamlined electrics... like giving the TGV an Amtrak Acella repaint, etc.

Umm, just scaling up the maps is not going to be enough. Scaling up the map will change the co ordinates of everything on it, your going to have to edit them as well...

Time does not affect city growth rates, at least not directly anyway. City and industry growth is controlled entirely by the number of carloads of goods, mail, or passengers that are picked up or delivered.
