There are actually two places where era data is set, IIRC... the first is in the scenario data, but there is a second xml called eras that defines more data about each 'era'. Its possible that that is overiding your era dates in the scenario. you should be able to copy the default to your scenario d...

Initial testing shows I've screwed up SOMETHING... I cant get initial scenario load into the editor, but I cant figure out what I've missed.

For those of you who havent been following along in the new map thread, I've been once again bitten by the Scenario making bug.
This is NOT a complete map yet, by any means, but rather a request for review, to make sure that I've not screwed up anything before I go futher at this point?

I remember most of this from before my 'vacation', but not if/how it was resolved, and I'd just realised that even with the revised list I still had a situation where I need to get Food and Nitrates (ie made from the fish guts) from my Cannery. One last question springs to mind before I go digging back into this. How did you set up your Input outputs the one time you tried to get two outputs from one input? Was it two separate entries or one entry with two outputs, or did you try it both ways and neither one worked?

sounds more to me like the problem is the file has been opened as read only. check the access flags for it, and that your not trying to edit the file while the game is running.

Two other things to be mindful of, the various segments are stacked 'vertically', so your image will be 7 times as tall as it is wide, and make sure that there is no alpha channel.

Thats the problem... I'm having trouble deciding what to do. I originally wanted a decent random component, to make the map interesting to play both as a single player vs AI and as a multiplayer map, only I'm drawing a blank on just what victory conditions would work well for both. Ok, thought maybe you had learned something that I didnt know... I do recall once upon a time that I was wishing there was a variable like "your start location", but its either Any City or Specific city, eh?

More like, how do you set up those victory conditions when your using random industry placements since you dont really know what goods will be where?
