Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
FINALLY it works. Very nice map! been playing the solo game and quite impressed. *hat's off, clap* . Before you all ask what it was even I do not know. Ended up doing the long process of backing everything up, wipe main drive and reinstalled Windows 7 64 home premium. Did all the driver updates, win...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
I hear you and my bad for not saying it. (thought I did mention use of 3gb enabler for one) I never thought of changing my VM status because I already used fixed size (2048) which is gamer rule of thumb (1/2 your system ram) in my case 4gb. Windows 7 is almost done reinstalling at this point. Backin...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
That is so frustrating to me. It works for you just fine and gives me nothing but headaches. Hmm, trying plan "B" before the "A" and making a 8 gb bootable flashdrive stick with windows XP and will run game with that and see if it works. Will post update once that is done (making the stick right now...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
My new store version copy arrived today. So clean install, update applied, no cd patch also added. still four corners crashes exactly like before. Shows building steam in solo mode and then crashed to desktop. Multi-player dose not even get that far. Guess can be pretty sure it's not the versi...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
I finally gave up. Everything thing I try will not let this mod run. I even went as far as tweaking my own mod from the US n/w map and going from there. Even that crashes when I attempt to play it. Edit okay but wont load to play. SO yep you guessed it. Had wife order me the official version in a bo...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
Interesting, wonder if some of my issue would be resolved with dual boot. Will try a couple of compatibility efforts first. Still doing some digging on other issues. Will update if successful.

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
Agree seeing combo has updates and all in one ease of use.
Still tracking down a fix for steam side of this. Yea, started looking for a retail copy near home but no luck and may have to Amazon it or something.

Re: Can't get maps to work.
Good question Warll- yes, your fabulous SMRI package installed perfectly in my steam version- and for my brother who also uses Steam and gifted me my copy so we could multi-player on line. It run's just fine, all the features seem to work. Game itself locks up or crashes not due to your packaged mod...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
I been trying to do a search on the saved directory issue with the missing "!" still. Found a little tid-bit here, http://forums.stardock.com/325490 This issue has come up with the Stardock version as well and was corrected it seems. So temped to just try to find a retail version and enjoy this with...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
I do not own the store version, just the steam version. I do have the store version exe with nocd change. Both this version and the steam one crash. Guessing it's related to the same issue- steam default game addons path is without that "!" at the end. The store exe dose run fine with the game in ca...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
A bit more info. Crashes very fast during the "building steam" phase when using the "AI" map mode. Error message- no code just saying railroad.exe had an unexpected close due to error in C++ runtime. Guessing a DLL error of sorts. This is a pop up window crash alert. On the Solo Map, almost finishes...

Re: Four Corners Dual Map - Part 1
This looks like it would be such a great mod to play with but I can not get this one to run no matter what I do. Guess steam version is just a pain. I have not given up but as is it loads, building steam and then crashes to desktop. Before you ask, yes 2gig enabled. Game rig specs- cpu e8400 (3.0gig...

Re: Can't get maps to work.
Okay, thanks to a member I have now tested the Steam Version of the game with the .exe from the store purchased version. Verdict- nope, not changing the working save path. It still saves without the "!" that the store version uses. To test further, I uninstalled and then did a fresh steam install an...

Re: Can't get maps to work.
The "nocd" patch I can do- no need to link me the info for it. Way back in the past I had a laptop die and could not play my games. Found a decent place for patching so I could enjoy disc-less and later got a USB external to install with. Just need the railroad.exe and I can handle the test. Still g...
