Re: Midwest15 map
Got it. I know how to pack and unpack the fpk files but I don't know what the individual files do, for instance the kfm. At this point, I don't need to know that I just need to make sure all the files called out in my railroads.xml files exist somewhere in the fpk files. I think there may be another...

Re: Midwest15 map
I think I fixed it. I was using the confectionery.fpk as one of the industries only I was using it as an “Apparel Plant”, inputting leather and fabric to make clothes. It worked fine until the industry tried to grow to medium size, at which time there was a CTD. I verified this by only running three...

Re: Midwest15 map
I'm running Win7 64bit on a Dell computer, Core i7 processor with 12GB of RAM and plenty of hard disk space. I don't think this is a problem. I do have some normal background stuff running and stopping all but the necessary services did not seem to help. The 3GB Enabler patch has been applied, and v...

Re: Midwest15 map
Yes, I fixed the events file. It looks like I can get further along in the game but the track laying gets pretty slow and then the game does CTD. I managed to get to about 7300 miles of track with 13 trains running. Am I approaching the practical limit of the game or should I be looking for other pr...

Re: Midwest15 map
Starting a new game from scratch, I managed to get well into the game before it crashed. I had about 5300 miles of track and ten trains running. I restarted it and made it to 6500 miles of track and twelve trains and still going. Quit for the night. I did notice that as I get more and more track, wh...

Re: Midwest15 map
I can assure you I did test each and every good, every train car and every industry, one at a time, and yes, it does take a lot of patience – a lot of trial and error. I am able to pick-up and deliver any of the goods in the map. That is why I don’t feel there is a problem with the FPKs. The zip fil...

Re: Win7 CTD
I haven't tried posting the map yet because it is not done but I will work on it. One other thing I tried was changing back to version 1.1 without the 3GB_Enabler patch, loading the saved game, and it CTD at the same point. It appears as though the 3GB_Enabler isn't working as it should. Am I missin...

Win7 CTD
I've been playing Railroads on and off for a couple of years now and find it very enjoyable and very frustrating. I've also been lurking in this forum for about the same amount of time. It has been very helpful, and sometimes entertaining. I'm now hoping someone can help me. I recently acquired a ne...
