Re: Where is the User Maps Folder?

After you run the game the first time you should end up with a "Sid Meier's Railroads" folder in My Documents. In this folder you should be able to find the UserMaps folder or create it if necessary.

Re: section loading banter

Discussions of "cracks" etc for programs is NOT to be discussed on this forum.

However, to help fix your problem with the custom maps we need to know which custom map(s) have you installed and which are you trying to play.

Re: Please help!!

Sorry, I do not believe we can assist you since you are not directly specifying a map or problem you are seeing with the game. Please clarify the problem you are encountering.

Re: Members banned

I am pretty sure that Falc has more or less decided to close the forums since I have not heard/seen anything further on the subject of closing or appointing a moderator. If someone arranges the permissions I have no problem starting to clean this forum up.

Re: Members banned

I don't mind helping clean up the remnants of the nearly constant fighting and will be around but I have not been playing or working on any of my tools for this game in a while.

Re: Members banned

Since these users were banned, can any posts from them also be removed? There seem to be a few of them lingering around here and not all of them make sense and quoting from posts that don't have the content etc...

Re: Mod?

At one time atani was talking to Falconer about the job, never hear anymore. Honestly I gave up waiting for someone to sort out the permissions issues. If someone can sort these out I would be willing to help out at moderating but with Falc's recent decision to close the forum I am not sure if it m...

Re: Map making with Photoshop

I did a test using Gimp 2.6.6 and the latest DDS plugin and so far it works properly. The latest DDS plugin is available here: http://nifelheim.dyndns.org/~cocidius/dds/#download

Note it only works with 2.6.x versions, I would recommend the latest version from http://www.gimp.org

Re: Map making with Photoshop

I believe it is an eye dropper looking tool.. At least with Gimp it is that.

Re: Mud Skippers

Great thanks.. I somehow missed some of that. I would suggest a new thread as this one is rather cluttered with off topic discussions.

Re: Mud Skippers

Using the SAM2 (maybe also on the original versions) I have noticed a couple things:

1) Empty car images are missing for a few types, I believe Mud Pottery was one.
2) Where do you delivery Mud Cakes to?

Re: Map making with Photoshop

Refer to this page: http://www.hookedgamers.com/gamewiki/Si ... ustom_maps in the section titled "The Grayscale Height Map". Basically, the "sea" stops at RGB: 48,48, 48 and "land" starts at RGB 49,49,49.

Re: Mud Skippers

If I still had my moderator status I would remove a number of posts from the board that are nothing more than flames between various people. All of which should be kept to PM and not out in the public.
