Re: No Tunnels, No Bridges
Hey Gang - I've experimented with a few of the parameters but so far all I've managed to accomplish is to have the track disappear into a hill/mountain and appear on the other side without a tunnel , or have the land 'dug' out to lay a narrow chasm through a mountain.... Unfortunately that is about...

Not sure what you said there, but I only meant that I'm not sure which Tender Cars go to which Engines, US, UK, French, German, so I always just put them all in. Basically if a RRT_TrainCars_xxxx.xml contains any TenderCars entries then the map will not use the tender car mod unless all tender cars...

I've got a lot going on in my life. Not bad things - other games, and social things. I don't think I'll make it back to Railroads! I loved the game - loved all the RRT games - but. C'est la vie. Sorry to see you are leaving us... Just when things are starting to pick up some too! In any case, enjoy...

Re: Custom Map Crashing in Multiplayer!
Which map are you trying to load in MP? Do the people on the other end have the map installed?nonameguy wrote: Why does it keep crashing to desktop when I try to host a game with a custom map in an internet game? Someone connects and it says 'transferring files' for about 10 seconds and then crashes out.

atani just whipped up a way to do the same thing using an automatic installer :!: I felt like I'd been kicked in the head, but, it does the job, it's using the same idea, it's easy and he's backing up what he's doing Its not intended as a "kick to the head" really. It is mainly to allow people who ...

A change was made to the Industries XML that placed the Fisheries but placed no other Industry. The Game does not allow this, you place all or you place none. Maybe if Kenster can't or doesn't have the time, someone else will look into it and get the fisheries and the rest of the Industries working...

After some testing, I concluded that the global XML file system is still needed if the maps are in the UserMaps directory. In other words, it makes no difference if the maps are in the CustomAssets\XML\_SCENARIOS_ directory or the UserMaps directory. Based on this information, I think that there is...

Dr Frag, I didn't think this would make a difference. We need to test this to make sure. I am thinking that the only difference is that if we modify "global" XMLs and place them under UserMaps/<Map> then it might be local to only that Map. Having it in the "CustomAssets" tree will make it global to...
