I always thought the AI were pretty easy to outbid, you can usually scare them off pretty quickly. I dont think you should ever let the AI win an auction. Industries are always worth paying a lot for. I wouldn't be scared off till it gets to $600,000+ Multiplayer games are something different though...

A few times I was picking up fish on a very short run and all the train ever did was switch directions as it picked up fish and dropped them off.. the train didn't even need to move just change directions.. I want (And before I start- I love complexity) - Interconnected resources (As previously stated), it should take coal AND iron to make steel. - Popularity of stations. If I have a terminal , and my opponent has a station, I want my terminal used in preference to his station. I hate resource leachers...
