I always thought the AI were pretty easy to outbid, you can usually scare them off pretty quickly. I dont think you should ever let the AI win an auction. Industries are always worth paying a lot for. I wouldn't be scared off till it gets to $600,000+ Multiplayer games are something different though...

Merge - Provided they were making money when you took them over.

The value of the liquidation doesn't seem like anywhere near enough to me, so its very rare I'd liquidate. (Especially if you just spent $13mil, plus your existing shares. to take them over)

A few times I was picking up fish on a very short run and all the train ever did was switch directions as it picked up fish and dropped them off.. the train didn't even need to move just change directions.. I think the short trip thing is an exploit/bug. All you need for a $1.5million dollar train ...

I want (And before I start- I love complexity) - Interconnected resources (As previously stated), it should take coal AND iron to make steel. - Popularity of stations. If I have a terminal , and my opponent has a station, I want my terminal used in preference to his station. I hate resource leachers...
