Stormfather's Germany
It is 1835, and Germany consists of the kingdom of Prussia, as well as almost 40 other sovereign states. The next quarter of a decade will see the unification of these diverse regions under the banner of an empire, but such unification will be impossible without the rapid industrialization and impro...

Just download Notepad++ and try it. Snoopy55 advised it, I tried it , and I love it. It's free, so you've got nothing to lose except a little bit of time. And by the way, I'm completely computer illiterate, and I had no problems getting it to work or using it. I tried DEM a while back but couldn't f...

I can't tell from the picture, but I think that your problem is that the land at the beach is exactly at sea level. Just use the terrain height tool to sink the coastal water a little deeper. However, the problem could also be that the ground has been tinted (sort of like the state borders in my Ame...

You mentioned shipping steel to Springfield Armory. The actual Springfield Armory is in Springfield, Massachusetts, however there is a modern firearm company called Springfield Armory (though it has no relation to the actual armory) in north western Illinois (Quad cities area), along with Armalite a...

Hey, gforce, I just checked the map out (been pretty busy). I've got to say, the slower pace is a real nice change. I've tinkered around with it before, but I never set it as low as .14 before. I like the fact that it forces you to be more creative with your routing, rather than having trains ping-p...

Atani- No, it's an original map. However, I did use Lama's map to figure out what music should go to what region, since I assume he knows a lot more about German music than I do since he fixed it in the first place! I've also checked out Paf-Daddy's germany map, as well as the original Firaxis germa...
