hey Sandman. I have a very similar system as yours and I am having the exact same problem. I called the 2k games support line and told him I have the patch and everything else and he told me the only thing that he could think of was to return it and get a different copy.

I am actually impressed. My first game back from it worked for 30 minutes(not impressive) and I about gave up. The time after that it worked for 1 hour and a half with no problems. Before that I had a max playtime of 25 minutes. Granted, the game still is not working perfectly for me but it's better...

Malekish, that sounds like priority shipping. Like if a city has 2 passengers and 2 mail and you've got a train with 3 carrages to be able to prioritize and have it pick up passengers but if there is leftover room then go with mail.

Lol, that's funny. Seems a little counter-intuitive to put out a demo that's a teaser for the real game AFTER it comes out. Oh well. I just wish they would get the d*** patch out already. I had no problem with the demo as well..for the most part. It was when I got to the real game that it started crashing like a drunk.

I uncheck one of the CPU's every time. I highly doubt my firewall has anything to do with it. I think I'm just going to watch for a patch and see what happens. It really depresses me that with this game they can put it out without really testing it but people can't take PC games back so it's almost ...

I tried this tactic and unchecked CPU 1 and the game still locks up in about 5-10 minutes of gametime. It is such a tease. I'll get a few lines(generally 3-5 lines) up and going and start to get in the flow and it just craps out. I will still hear the music and see the screen but the game will stop ...

I don't have much experience but I'm guessing it would probably be better to try to sneak attack buyout not just buy it 2 here and 3 there. Yea, I'm thinking I'm going to go pick this game up soon.

How exactly does one go about BLOCKING a buyout? If you can still buy someone's stock if they own part then if someone has the money there isn't much you can do is there?

Hello all. I'm another new guy. I'm playing the demo but if a patch comes out that appears to fix a lot if not all the CTD problems then I may be purchasing it soon regardless of the fact my girlfriend and parents put a no purchase clause on me til after Christmas...

Does anyone have a good strategy that they use for buying out a competitors stock? Do you try to save up enough to do it all at one time or do you buy it slowly but surely or what?

Another question, how do you buy someone out if they own a piece of their own stock?
