Thats coased by your over clocked BFg card. Well this would be the only game my card causes to glitch then. Odd that, as I know of at least one in my collection that says it won't work on OC'ed gear (Battlefield 2). Then again, it also says that it won't work under win2k, but it's ONLY ever worked ...

I wish I knew more about your issues recca421... Well, I'm pretty sure my card does shaders : it's a BFG Geforce 7600GT-OC. Pixel and vertex shader v3.0 according to Trainzdiag. My motherboard is an Asus a8n-e, fairly recent bios (i'm from a time when bios flashing was nearly always lethal and ther...

but kudos to them for having the .... tentacles .... to host their own forums and actually make an attempt to deal with some of the bullshit that comes from a combination of poor beta-testing and bad code. . That hurts, but I'll forgive you since you don't "really" know what went on with the beta t...

I've seen similar tactics attempted on the Electronic Arts forums regarding Battlefield 2 - in the end, the company changed its email and support numbers in order to try to stem the flood of hate calls and hate mail. Over a year later, and with a popular expansion pack and two widely panned "booster...

Re: Hot GPU

I noticed my GPU runs pretty hot when I have allot of tracks and trains. The fan kicks in high speed but it still runs at 65 Celsius. Dose everyone have this problem? I have a PCIE Sapphire X800GTO. I have good ventilation, the system fan will kick in when it gets too hot. that brings in air and ve...

I find making my own routes to be a lot more fun, and if/when i ever release them, at least 75% of the content of each will be available from the DLS, and the other stuff will be freeware assetts from creator's sites. Looking at how much I *could* have spent on building a model railroad, even if I D...

I picked up Trainz for $5 figuring it would be great. Got onto the forum and started downloading all that great stuff :D . Then I was given Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006. WOW!!! GREAT STUFF!!! until I downloaded my first map... if you need 50 items to finish the map (they aren't all there) about 6...

WOW that is ugly who would want that. Looks like a plumbers nightmare  These are damn fun to run in Trainz, although there aren't nearly enough examples of the design available for download. I too would love to see one converted over for use in SMRR!, even though it's only 2' gauge. I assume...

added instrictions on how to enable error logging to the "interface" section - this setting actually helped me a great deal in eliminating CTD problems on my main system. Also (more than likely, anyways) useful for modders.

Well I flashed the drive with its latest firmware, something I am not sure I ever did and it seems to be working fine again. I keep it because when the drive I use for just about everything (used to be an LG, now it is a Lite On) has a problem with a disk, the Plextor can always read it. It is the ...

Securom software can't kill older DVD drives can it? I was leaving the disk in my older Plextor that I don't use that much since my newer Lite On is so much faster. I rebooted my system and for some reason it locked trying to read the drive to check for bootable disk and I have not been able to get...

I won't install a game with Starforce, luckily it has not been used on a game I want anyway. Just read all the nightmare stories about it on IGN. CDV's Canadian/American release of City Life used Starforce. I never had one single problem with my system after installing it, nor did I have any proble...

Re: But will it run?

I sicerely do hope there are some hidden patches that will let it run more than an hour or so without freezing. I may be a minority here but I still can't play for too long without either a CTD or simply being locked up. Curiously enough, I'm having so much fun with it I've been tolerating the cras...
