Under 'In Progress' I clicked on a scenario called 'Edit to Northwest U.S.'. The 'Errors' tab comes up giving the error having to do with not being able to find wine in the scenario. While this is helpful, it won't let me into the other tabs to fix it! This is a known issue where if you add an indu...

What is the best 'no cost' way to learn XML? When you say "learn XML" I think you are confusing yourself. Xml is nothing more than a structured data format, like a CSV (comma separated value) file. Xml is simply a text file that is structured is such a way that it is hierarchical, easily parsed, an...

I'm not sure that's true as such. Neither am I ... but it's the only explanation I can think of given the behavior I see in the game. I'm hoping someone from Firaxis will explain how it really works. Am I doing something wrong? No you're not, I am. I somehow managed to switch the add and remo...

The issue is that you haven't added the Fromagerie industry to the map. If you add this industry to the map then you should see dairy farms scattered around. Now you may say "This is the good-ole US 'n A... there ain't no Fromagerie's here?!! And if there were we'd call them something like a Cheese ...

Map Coordinate Question...
Does only here know, or can any from Firaxis tell me, the formula for the conversion from the City StartX and StartY to the map (.tga) pixel coordinates? For these questions I'm considering the first 601x601 image in a map .tga file to be the "map". Likewise the map coordinates that I'm referencing ...

Quick info about city names...
Each scenario defines which cities it has in the RRT_Cities_<Scenario>.xml file. The "/RRTCities/City/szName" element is the tag of the city which is then given a normal name in the \Assets\Localization\Names_<Locale>.xml file. It may be possible to create your own tags and add them to the Names_<Lo...
